I love your video. I haven't bought a saber from SaberForge yet because I'm waiting for "The Count" to become available. I think you are 100% correct on the "patient" part. It seems like no matter what you order from them, it takes longer than expected. But, in my eyes, they have the best looking replica sabers out there. Watching this video really put my thoughts at ease about my decision on buying from them. I will be buying from them. And, I will expect it to be a delayed delivery. Again, live your video. Not sure if you're aware of it, but the stand can hold up to 3 sabers, and the 4 holes on the bottom piece can hold your blade plugs for display, in case you decide to get more. Pretty handy.

you should find a dust cap to put on the open end of the blade when not on the saber. if dust gets in it might be noticeable when the saber is on.

Great video my guy! About the grip complaint with the fighting style that lightsaber fighting is based on you’re supposed to grip it with one hand choked up near the neck and another hand loosely gripping the bottom for support which allows flexibility and accuracy so the design with the box actually helps orient your hands, hope this helped! :)

Yes, I found out how to change the settings on the saber including adding the flicker, changing the hum volume and swing/clash sensitivity. I'll admit that it took me longer to work out than it should have.

bubba3667 if you hold the button down, it will bring you to a menu where you can adjust the saber so that way it has a flicker and other options. While you cycle through the settings you can change how loud the saber is, there's a third option that will mute the saber and after you're done running through your settings, you can use your saber muted and if you don't want a champion tier saber, you can just purchase a warrior tier which comes with no speaker and it'll just light up. :)

Very interesting! Considering that this is my favourite saber and that I've wanted one of this forever I have seen tons of review but this is the first time someone speaks about the charges for customers within the UK. As I will be cosplay as Obi-Wan (favourite character too :P) at the SW Celebration Europe this weekend I needed a saber myself but Saberforge had too demand to make mine in time so I got the one from ep. I/II hopefully I will get the Redeemer in the next months.

Probably the best review of a saber forge lightsaber Ive seen! The only thing about your Obi Wan Lightsaber is that when you turn it on the sound effect is not from his lightsaber but Lukes green lightsaber from Return of the Jedi. Not sure if thats what you picked when you custom ordered it but either way its really cool. Lukes lightsaber ignition sound is my favorite.

Third tier is Veteran. It's initiate, warrior, veteran, champion, and hero. If folks want standard good sound, and light effects, the Veteran package (third tier) is the best option value-wise.

I just purchased myself one of these sabers, as of august 7th of 2020. The fact this saber has been out for over 4 years is incredible. not only that but it's the first lightsaber I have ever purchased. Now because of coronavirus, I do have to wait about 3 months, but I believe it is well worth the wait. in the meantime though, I have been watching every single saber forge redeemer video I can find. hopefully, someone will make a 2020 version. For holding the blade, look up Obi Wan's Sorestu technique, it is more more defensive, requiring to deflect another lightsaber or blaster shot with ease. Watching RotS you see he is usually holding his blade with one hand.

hey man! if you didn't already learn this. the stand is made from acrylic which is rly easy to print in a lazer printer. and the brown covers on the stand are suppossed to be peeled off. if you want.

i got 2 saberforge sabers the epoch and the venom. Both are under 2 years old and now the venom does not work at all no light no sound, the epoch has no sound fx at all only light and hum sound. Both broke right after the warranty was up. No chance of getting them fixed by anyone I have been able to find. Go with vaders vault the tempest is sexy as hell and works great. Even my kyberlight still works and it is older than the saberforge ones. Go vaders vault for quality.

I agree about the obi-wan design is difficult to grip two handed but I've found that the Japanese katana grip is reasonably comfortable, it also looks good in photos. I'm not sure I'd want to duel with my hands in that position on the sabre but it might be ok if you were doing mostly downward cuts.

It's a lovely design, however not very practical, sadly. I found out that during filming, Ewan McGregor's dueling saber didn't have the box or the covertech knob on it so it was easier to duel with. I would recommend Saberforge's Exhalted saber as it looks very similar to Obi Wan's but doesn't have the box.

Little Al Hey mate. Shipping should be included in the Saberforge order when you come to pay, it's about $60, at least it was when I ordered it. The other thing you'll need to be aware of is customs charges. The charges for this saber (for me) were only £40 but I got shafted on my latest saber where it was over £100! But I think it depends on how expensive the item is, so your £250 order shouldn't be too much. Let me know how it goes!

Yeah, I've not had any problems with it, really. I've lost my kill-key for it (my bad) but otherwise it's done okay. I've bought another saber and will be showing that off in a review in a couple of weeks. I've duelled with them both and I have to say that this saber definitely doesn't feel as sturdy as my new one, but I'm attributing that to the fact it's a thin neck.

Hi there I was just wandering when you ordered the saber did the picture show the Kilcky on the lightsaber when you ordered it. Or is that just the new design with the kilcky on the saber

The picture they provide on the website is of the top tiered saber which comes with the kill key. The tier of saber I ordered is the one below the top tier therefore only has 1 colour option and doesn't need the kill key installed. So my saber was sent with that design minus the kill key as I didn't need it.

I ordered a Redeemer switch for my ASP sabre. The body of my original latching switch isn’t long enough to fit through the control box. I had to buy a couple of long-bodied latching switches on eBay (one flush switch, one raised switch). The switch section itself came with nothing to hold the activation card in place. I have to find some connectors compatible with my setup. So, I will be grateful for any advice on how to make the ASP Redeemer switch functional.

I'm afraid I have next to zero experience on the adaptive saber parts stuff. It does look like some parts fit better with others but I want to say there's a program where you can look over your parts on the website to see how it all fits together. Could that help you out?

Have u tested the durability of the hilt? I recently purchased the archon model which is a very similar design but as I was worried the thin top part may break during combat I opted for an older version where the thin piece is much thicker but I'm curious if that was necessary. So any issue with the thin top part or is it sturdy ?
