One of the charms of Love Bites in my opinion is that there are many different styles of music. Moreover, all of them are just masterpieces. It's rare to find a band that has so many great songs. Thank you for checking this out! It's not necessary to have a big background in powermetal to appreciate them. They draw on so many influences, and as you said, it's a rich, powerful sound while being melodic and beautiful. They're a unique band.

As for the bands themselves it is hard to beat Lovebites, and in the case of Unleash the Archers they lost their long time bassist (he was very good) and I have not seen enough of the new one to accurately judge him.

This band has no Peer! I haven't been counting, but I've listened to this song 70-80 times already. LOVEBITES has become my "Drug" of choice. They know how to construct a song correctly and add meaning to it. That's why their song aren't the usual 3 min burger and fries that prevalent in music today. Their songs are a full course meal prepared by the best chefs in the world. 🤘🏾

Heard the Lovebites here for the first time. Impressive. Then I wanted to know if the band could do this live as well and listened to "Five of a kind" live in Tokyo 2020. And I have to say, bands like Megadeth or Iron Maiden have to realize that it's time to go to a retirement home. Bands like Lovebite are the new fuel in metal music. Yeah, you are right on. Lovebites songs tend to be longer than average, but they never feel dull. There is always something interesting happening, great transitions ... Just some really solid songwriting paired with crazy musicianship. I really wanna hear a 10 min+ song from them some day. I'm sure they would nail it. And it's so cool to see them absolutely obliterate their instruments. What a fun and inspiring band.

I agree with everything you said. Wow, what a great reaction, one of the best. You really have a knack for expressing what you heard and what you liked. I do think this very well may be their best song to date. Lovebites really cares about their fans and their music and each other. This was a song that they really took the time to put everything they had into. They wanted to put all their frustrations of the past two years behind them, and gain a new start with the new band member. So you can tell they created this to put out a strong statement that they are back and they are serious and they will not let anything stop them from being the best they can be.

Hey Sabina, good to see you again. Give Henri my best wishes. And please get well soon! On to Judgement Day: the showcase for Fami, on Bass. She replaces Miho, an original founder of the band, along with Haruna on Drums. Midori is on the guitar on the left side and Miyako is on the guitar on the right side. And their magnificent vocalist Asami filled in the center. Some had questioned the ability to replace Miho, and I agree that Miho was a great bassist for her run with the band. Unfortunately, she decided she needed to move on, so the band held auditions to find another bassist. I believe Fami has stepped up to the plate and hit the ball out of the park. (If you will pardon the baseball analogy.) I don't know if you noticed but Fami plays 2 different Basses in this video. In the studio, there is a truncated head, in the other setting (video inset) she is playing one with the five-string headstock. All of these ladies are beautiful, although I'm not thrilled with Fami's hair coloration choice... initially, I had thought she had shaved both sides of her head, which wouldn't be a surprise in a Japanese band, even with women; nope, just a blond or silver highlight... Regarding clothes: they all look lovely again and as usual. I was surprised to see Miyako wearing pants under her skirt, but then the skirt is a bit translucent, so; probably a good choice. Asami loves her thigh-high split skirts or dresses and here again, she doesn't disappoint. I only have one complaint regarding their shoes, the higher the platform, the more likely a fall can occur. And if they were to fall, a corresponding ankle could be injured. I would strongly recommend the ladies go to a flat footbed and limit themselves to 3 or 4 inches of heel, and I would recommend no more than 3 1/2 inches of height for the heel, again to guard against a sprain or break. I have known professional dancers, and strippers, and have made these same recommendations. Some have accepted them as they are meant, constructive, and with love for their talent. Here the intent is the same. I hope the ladies read the comments on your channel and will consider my suggestions. Now, back to you, my favorite reactor; I agree this is one of if not their best video. I would certainly put this song in their top ten. I believe the album drops around February 22, and I am very excited to see what else they have in store for us. Keep reacting, and stay safe and healthy, to both of you.

Check out my comment on yesterday’s Dio reaction. I mentioned this song because it uses “Phrygian Dominant” which was used in Gates of Babylon. THANK YOU for giving these ladies the respect they deserve and a bigger audience. I’ve concluded that there is a new genre of metal. Lovebites. They outdo anything that has gone before. You were spot on in your assessment of their “it” factor. The only thing that you missed (though you actually mentioned it) is the amount of time they are prepared to spend on social media, interacting with us fans. The streaming of the premiere was a good example, though you’d have needed an inbuilt personal algorithm to decode the comments that sped down the screen in a torrent.

Ah! That's from Rainbow's "Gates of Babylon"! I thought I recognized that chord progression from Yngwie Malmsteen, but I now realized that's from his album "Inspiration", i.e. his cover album (of course!). Knowing your career as a therapist I think you'd find quite a few of their songs pertinent. I'd suggest a couple of the three 'E' songs ('Epilogue' and 'Edge of the World') and 'Rising', as being really uplifting for someone who's feeling either totally down or out of place. Although there are so many great songs that aren't so intentionally therapeutic but great to listen to. Just react to them all.

Japanese Powermetal is fantastic, although for me personally, this super Dense Production with a Wall of Guitars gets quickly unpleasant. Doesn't mean it's bad, i just prefer a more "natural" Oldschool Sound.
