Great job, mate and thx for that video - it shows that there is no need to downsize as aggressive as it sems to be the flavour of the week at the moment. Proper technique and practice make perfect und takes away the necessity for going small way, way, way too soon. Blue skies brother and be safe!

Working on dz control I see hundreds of canopies land every day. I can safely say there are not very many pilots this experienced on a 170. Beautiful flying

see you can swoop without downsizing!!! *telling myself lol

Imagine how many amazing swoopers would still be around if they'd perfected swooping on a higher wingloading instead of trying to downsize as fast as possible.

Very good work, luv it. It really shows what 1000+ jumps on same canopy (or at least same size and type) can do for you. Though, it must be quite heavy to pull those front risers while jumping all day long hehehe Blue skies ;) and keep landing like that so I can watch and learn hehe

Does the term "front riser hook turn" exist any more ? I've still got my 150 Pintail, must be an antique now. I tried a 120 Pintail many years ago at the Langar boogie

The size seems off to me.. does'nt look like a 170 when you put it down.

well it’s loaded rather heavily at 1.33 but still very impressive what he puts down on a 170

Jonnyboy868 I think I watched this video 100 times. I just downsized from a 190 Sabre 2. My wing loading on my Sabre 2 170 is 1.5. I only put 3 jumps on it so far. I only have 447 jumps. I notice no difference between the 190 & 170. The 170 actually feels like it has "higher" front riser pressure. What's your opinion?
