“When Donnelly came at him, Johnson ran like a cheap pair of nylons!” “When he got hit, he looked like an octopus trying to unfold a beach chair!”

Classic lines , hilarious color man , who is this ?
@christopherjaskowiak9073Ай бұрын
@@trevor8493 that’s Mike Robitaille, who was a former Sabre and worked on Sabre telecasts for years in the 80s and 90s. A real character. Another “Robi-ism” was when a player got hit in the groin with a puck: “It hit him right in the soup coolers!”

If I’m not mistaken, there was a strike during the latter part of that 91-92 season and it occurred after this game, again I could be wrong. But great video nonetheless.

You are correct. The entire game is on KZbin and I’ve watched it. The commentators talk about the impending strike a few times.

@christopherjaskowiak9073 The other guy has nothing to grab on to. Gives Ray an easy advantage

@@jamesfranke4521 But there was no rule in place at the time outlawing losing the sweater. Also, it’s not as if only RAY was permitted to lose the sweater and his opponent was not; his opponents were free to do so, as well. Therefore, it’s not an unfair advantage for Ray.
