the concept of singular was confidence and realising that you are singular and unique so act i has a bunch of badass anthems and act ii has more reflective themes about self confidence and introspection. sabrina also once said that she wanted to call it singular because when she was making the album, someone listened to it and told her "this is singularly sabrina". also the reason a lot of the tracks sounds different from each other are the same theme of the album, each track is singular and different.

Exhale is my favorite song on the album, so when you agreed I was so happy. That song is one of my comfort songs, and I agree about the emotional/vulnerable Sabrina, which there is a lot of in EVOLution.

Technically, this album is so short because she split the whole album into two parts/acts. Act I is about focusing on your inner confidence and this one is about expressing confidence and emotions outwardly.

Just so you know, some of her earlier music, especially EVOLution, is sort of like skin. Also if/when you react to more of her music, be sure to not miss her singles (smoke and fire, why, honeymoon fades, alien, etc.) because they are really good and not a part of any album.

Singular Act 2 and 1 both talk about confidence, she said it in a Zach Sang interview. But singular act 2 is more you trying to be confident when everything is falling apart, when you're kinda uncomfortable with yourself but you know the situation leads you to grownth. And Singular Act 1 is more being comfortable in your own skin and being conscious of where you at, who you are in front of the situation. And self-aware, self-protective, confident.

This and Singular Act I are two of my favorite albums so I just wanted to explain a bit of the reasons why... so... In My Bed to me means she's going through all of these emotions and she's not ready to fight them because when you get out of your bed you have to face up the day and she's just not ready for that yet but she also expresses how she does want to stop thinking about it, which just shows the battle in her mind. I also really like the line "Turn this pillowcase to the cooler side" it really paints a picture. Pushing 20 and I Can't Stop Me are very straightforward and I really appreciate that. I'm Fakin doesn't have a complex message but I also really like how she paints the picture with the lines "I roll my eyes you check your phone" and musically the pre-chorus always gets me. Take Off All Your Cool has a very beautiful message specially considering how is society currenty and how often people put on masks so I really like the lines "I like your soul when it's shirtless, cause it's just like mine" and ofc "I'll take off mine too, when you take off all your cool". Tell Em is just vocal bliss. Exhale seems to me like she really means every word, it is a raw song. My favorite line is the first ones "Who put the baby in charge? It's already hard to buy all the parts and learn to use them" From Take You Back I like the lines "I picked you up cause you were shinny and new" "Closest I've ever come to buyer's remorse" Looking at Me is a bop and with a tint of empowerment.

just to add on to im fakin - i feel like the lyrics are actually sad, like the way she talks about being mean to her friend/partner/whatever when she doesn't really mean it just to prove something. But the music is so upbeat, which contradicts the sadness of the lyrics and i feel like that shows sabrina (and almost everyone else honestly) is so used to that sad reality that its not even sad for her anymore and she can just talk about like its completely normal. I dont know if she did that on purpose, but thats the vibe i got from it

her music definitely would have done a lot better if she wasn't under hollywood records before. but she just recently signed to island records and is already getting way more promotion than before! my favorite lyric from probably the entire album is "i like your soul when it's shirtless, cause it's just like mine" for some reason that lyric just hits super different and makes so much sense. i love that so much

no one cares but here are my top 5 songs and why looking at me - ALL TIME FAVORITE SONG it's such a bop and the lyrics are so damn clever. like the way she says "don't u come at me green w an attitude when my lips and soles are red" it's so smart bc first of all: red lips=bold and confidence and red soles=expensive Louboutin shoes; and second of all: red light means stop pushing 20 - the lyrics in the verses are honestly gold because at first glance you have no idea what she's talking abt, but after really comprehending it you can see how clever the lyrics actually are (i actually analyzed the lyrics to this song for a school project, and after i understood it better i loved the song so much more) in my bed - i love how contradicting the song is, like the lyrics and her voice are sad and soft, but the instrumental is up beat so you dont know if you should dance or cry. and it was smart putting it first because it takes you on a roller coaster of emotions which foreshadows the album take off all your cool - by far most underrated song in the album. one of her best songs lyrically. It was so clever using phrases that sounds intimate sexually, but changing them to be intimate emotionally. like "i like your soul when its shirtless" and the title "take of all your cool" i mean- *chefs kiss exhale - one of my favorite things abt sabrina is that she can manages to make slow songs sound catchy and i love it. and lyrically so creative, like "who put the world on my back, and not in my hand just give me a chance"

Honeymoon fades is a song very similar to Skin, as for all. In my opinion and that of many of the fandom, it is the song that most stands out for her sweet voice. But there are also all the songs that she recorded for the Disney movie "Clouds."

Her first album is very young Disney girl but it’s cute! Your loves like is a genuinely good song though. Then there’s Evolution which she released at 16/17 and is also a full length album. Then Singular was split into two halves: act I and act II which both have slightly different vibes. Singular act 1 is her best album currently in my opinion.
