Best-selling author and chef Sabrina Ghayour shares her recipe for a leg of lamb with a simple twist - a fragrant spiced Ras el Hanout marinade.
Ras el Hanout means ‘Head of the Shop’ and is a blend of spices such as paprika, allspice and chilli with the fragrance of rose petals. Sabrina combines it with natural yogurt and garlic to make a simple marinade that packs in loads of flavour and keeps the lamb tender while it cooks low and slow in the oven.
As part of our At Home series, we’re welcoming some special guests to our channel from their home kitchens. In each episode they’ll share the recipes they love to cook, what inspires them and their favourite ingredients.

Ingredients:
2kg whole bone-in lamb leg
3 tbsp ras-el-hanout
2 tbsp tomato puree
4 large garlic cloves, crushed
150g Greek natural yogurt
1 tbsp olive oil
Maldon sea salt

Amazing recipe. I just picked up a jar of Ras el Hanout and was figuring out what to do with it. Can't wait to try. I noticed the bottle I got which was a French brand seemed very similar to curry powder.

We cooked this on Easter Sunday, we followed the recipe to the tee, it did not look anything that she showed, it was nice and lovely flavours but a little disappointing, and I left it to rest for half an hour.
Cooking the lamb and rice in this luxurious way makes it wonderful for a feast!
