I absolutely love these tutorials. Thanks for recommending “follow up”. I paused the video to add. I’ve been using routines more and they are a life saver. Not really a morning person, but I do look forward to having Alexa play John Legend “Good Morning” as my alarm. And having the lights come on at a certain time is Amazing. My new favorite is my smart plug that I’ve connected my Christmas lights to. You can’t tell me jack, when the lights come on🤣🤣🤣 keep the videos coming. I love them💗

Love the drop in feature because when I need my boys to come to where I am, I don’t need to yell their name. Or if I want them to do something, like change for karate, I can announce it. I’ve had Alexa since she was released and I love her so much.

She has a whisper feature that’s why it didn’t work hahah. I like it but she doesn’t follow through with it when you do it, only for the first command. I think you can set it to whisper at certain times though not completely sure on that.

Great vids. Thank you so much for your insight. In another vid the lights blinked when the Alexa timer went off. Did you set this up using IFTTT, SmartThings or Alexa? I love this automation. It is great for the elderly (when cooking) or persons who cannot hear the timer. Please add this tutorial to your vids list.

Question. For you wake up routine do you have to speak to your echo or does it just start? I just got a google home and was trying to set up a routine and it wouldn't work without a voice command. I might be taking this back to get an echo.... childee so mad.. lol love your videos! super helpful.

I bought an echo dot 4th gen but found out that there is no option to customize “Alexa Say’s” … I wanted to have that customized morning routine greeting from Alexa… 😭😭😭😭

All my Alexas are capable of doing customized greetings. I have the Echo dot 4th gen as well.
