Back in the ECW heyday, I was friends with several of the wrestlers, they used to bring me to the shows with them and I'd hang out backstage, and I'd hang out with them after the shows. I was good friends with Raven, and he and Saturn used to hang out a lot. Because of that, I had been around Kronus quite a bit. One afternoon, I was at the old TGI Fridays on 2nd Lombard, Kronus came walking in with a young lady, I approached him to say hi. He gave me a very friendly greeting, but it was obvious he had no idea who I was. I told him we had met many times, and I was friends with Raven and Saturn, he just smiled and said "Oh! Ok!" but still had no recollection of me whatsoever. I just said; "well, I just wanted to say hi, I'm a big fan", and he thanked me and went to join his companion. I guess it's possible he was ribbing me. But why? Who was I to be ribbed? And unless he was that good of an actor, the look in his eyes said he was completely oblivious. I was telling one of the guys this anecdote and they told me not to take it personally, "He aint all there." But for a crazy guy, he was super nice.

In Brian Christopher's case, not necessarily defending the guy as he did come off as a bit obnoxious, but he was in the shadow of his father Jerry Lawler throughout his career. That could have played a big part in him being an asshole because he never achieved even a quarter of the success in the wrestling business that his father did. Often times, living in the shadow of a much more successful parent or close relative can take a toll on someone mentally and cause them to snap.
