Sacha Baron Cohen on top form once again as he 'accidentally' knocks Grace Cullington, an elderly lady, supposed last known surviving actress to work with the late, great Charlie Chaplin, (or 'actor' to which she is referred in this clip), at the BAFTA LA Jaguar Britannia Awards on Sunday 10th November 2013.
The numerous versions of this clip on KZbin ask whether this is a prank or for real, but as this full length clip shows, is just the Ali G and Borat comedian in his top form.

There are so many small details I love about this video. This is an excellent piece of comedy and amazing precision planning. First up everything Salma says lays the foundations down for what you are about to see then you have the actual accident itself which is done to perfection as you need to know where the woman will land when the wheelchair goes flying into the audience plus the speed in which SBC goes in to keep the pretence going makes the audience go from pure shock at what's happened to realise that everything is not as it may seem.

It's not actually a joke about killing a woman. It just features that. It's comedy of embarrassment - that it's embarrassing and tragic that he would unintentionally kill a sweet icon of cinema after he'd tried to reciprocate her charm by doing a Chaplin walk. The further joke is that it's clear she must actually be a stuntwoman and that many of us have been fooled. Sacha does then employ a different comedic style - of being an uncaring egotist, which is when the joke deliberately goes back to being at the expense of Sacha because he'd been an 'attempted hero' for a few seconds trying to give her the kiss of life. He arguably doesn't get the tone right at the end - it's difficult not to think that the lady has metaphorically and literally become 'the fall guy' . It'd have been funnier without the over the top about-face 'uncaring egotist' bit
