Sachin Tendulkar played his 300th ODI against New Zealand at Christchurch in 2002. He scored 72 runs just off 27 balls.
In India's tour of New Zealand 2002, there was a unique concept of a "Super Max International" match which was basically a 10-over game of 2 innings each.
Sachin, in India's first innings, scored a blistering 27-ball 72! What a knock it was! Here's important to note that there was a designated 'Max zone' on the ground behind the bowler, which the batsman could aim for to get the runs counted on that shot doubled. Sachin hit two 8s and one 12-run hit in that area.
