This series ruined my mornings as a 7 year old boy. Woke up everyday at 5am, 1 hour before school time, to watch this magical sport which was pulling me towards it. But the first 4 matches of this series absolutely destroyed me. Had a bad mood every time I came back home from school and saw the score. But its a core memory in my mind. This feeling of watching this series is so fresh in my head, best time of life. Bleed blue since then till forever.

Javagal Srinath's bowling in this match was exceptional, 10 overs 13 runs and 3 wickets. Javagal Srinath is the finest fast bowler for India after Kapil Dev. He was the premier fast bowler for India for many years. He is unsung hero of Indian cricket.

This is the 1st cricket match I saw in TV live. During this match my father and my elder brother taught me how to see and understand cricket scorecard on TV. I still remember the last boundary hit by Nehara and his running style after the 4, Srinath and he walking back to the pavilion I still remember those screens

Wow! Nz 199-9(50) from 147-9 (47). India managed to get to 197-9(48.4) from 182-3(41.5)... What a collapse. This was one of my earliest series that I followed... A disaster, really. I think we got all out on 108 3times on that tour(and once on 99). But Nehra's best ever contribution to Indian cricket as batsman. :)

I was 7 years and 3 months old at that time. Born in August 1995. Have memories of that November odi vs WI india where India chased 325. Have deep settled memories of this series happened one month later. First series I can recall watching or remembering live. Indians got out for 108 two times in this series..I have found. I always had that memory of this 108 figure or 106 kind of. Low scores around 100..haha. Didnt know there were 6 deliveries in one over..mum was working outside in the huge field of my house(a govt quarter). Cutting some branches of a tree. I asked her that it is written 0.5..something related to that. Lol. Must be in 1st or 2nd class. Priceless memories.

Nostalgia.. If I correctly remember, this was one series where every match was won by the team batting 2nd.. and avg score was aroung 160 odd.. I clearly remember the commentary and heard “Spongy bounce wickets” for the first time.. extremely tough pitches and NZ dominated us.. Sehwag had a brilliant series.. Also there was one rare 20-20 match where 2 innings were played by both teams.. 10 over batting then bowling then again batting & finally bowling.. Though we lost that match but Sachin scored an absolute fiery 80 odd runs in that match.. NZ team had beasts that time: Fleming, Lou Vincent, McCullum, Astle, Cairns, McMilan etc..

Neha ne muje jab dhoya tha 5-0 se toh muje teesre match ke baad se hi susu aane lagi thi aur mai yahi soch raha tha ki kaise atleast ek game toh Jeet lu taki samman bachaya ja sake. Par ho na saka. Puri ijjat lut gyi thi. She scored total of 300 runs including a century in 5 matches. Her lowest score was 40. And she got me out on 0 every match😢😢.
