Sachin Tendulkar's revelations in autobiography shocks cricket world

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's revelations in his autobiography 'Playing it My Way', which will be released on Wednesday, has shocked the cricket world. In his autobiography, Sachin said that former coach of the Indian cricket team Greg Chappell had asking him to take over captainship from Rahul Dravid months before the 2007 World Cup. Sachin added that Chappell took Indian cricket six years behind. However, Chappell has denied the allegations. Saurav Ganguly, Harbajan Singh and VVS Laxman have come out strongly in support of the claims that Chappell was a 'ringmaster' who dented the morale of the team.

Saurabh a great player, but this is also true that Chappell did not tow his line, and demanded him to get fit...what is so wrong about it? As a coach it was his job to make sure his team was fit. Actually (specially olden time)once the players got selected and made name, they spend time in advertising promtions etc, earning big bucks. VVS Laxman had knee surgeries and could not run between the wickets, but he could not be dropped as he was a senior player. Yes Chappell's way of doing things was high handed, but it ended up shaking old players and made way for younger generation(Dhoni, Virat etc) to come.
