Which striker this tournament that started every game played well? Every single team in the tournament sets up to not give the striker a chance hence why most striker moments are often from a substitute e.g. Weghorst or Watkins as they play against tired legs. No striker would start and play well this tournament simply because teams set up to nullify strikers. This also explains why most of the best players this tournament have been attacking midfielders/wingers as they have a lot more space to express themself. E.g, Guler, Gakpo, Olmo, Yamal, Musiala. We should really be questioning why our players in these positions (Foden and Bellingham) have severely underperformed. This simply wasn't a tournament for strikers.

Don't forget the beautiful Southgate trick of getting the ball all the way up into an attacking position and then just slowly passing it back all the way to Pickford, who then kindly shoots it back to the spanish players. A great southgate trick is to have the players pause for a few seconds to lull the opposition into thinking something might actually happen, then go back to passing it between each other (and in this game passing it to another Spanish player).
