this makes me lose faith in christianity even more. being homosexual is fine, it's not a sin jeez also, this is not helpful for abuse victims whatsoever. saying "marriage should be forever, and you shouldn't separate after you get married" will make abuse victims think being abused by their spouse is fine as long as they follow the "will of god" and don't divorce also, not wanting to have children is perfectly valid, some people don't want to deal with stress of having children

Due to the brief nature of the videos, it's impossible cover everything on a subject, but the Catholic Church teaches that abuse should never be accepted or tolerated within a marriage. If a someone truly endangers the wellbeing of their spouse or children, the spouse has a moral right to leave and/or seek help, and to claim the abuse is "the will of God" is an attitude condemned by the Church. If you're interested, i would definitely suggest looking deeper into the details of what the Church states on these topics, as it can be hard to cover in a KZbin comment. God Bless!

Being homosexual stems from previous traumas. I was always thinking that I wasn't good enough. That's what lead me to identify as homosexual. Having SSA isn't sinful but entertaining it is, that's why I repented and continue to open myself up to Jesus so that I may be changed. I was given an "ideal image" of what a boy should be by society and since I thought I didn't measure up I longed for that "ideal image". Jesus is the only ideal male human to have ever existed. Mary the only ideal female human. So, even though God created me with a shy spirit, I should strive to be like Jesus, not what is said to me by people on earth of what an "ideal male" is because it's not true.

@@atlaskanik I'm sure that God in any form agrees with you, and that God is very disappointed in the naysayer you encountered. God lets us live our own lives, we have free will. That person is more blinded than you will ever be, like a cultist. God would approve you marrying any person you truly love and wants you to be happy. Even if you don't believe in Him, he would probably think of you as more "holy" than the rudely offensive arrogant person.

You are describing Holy Matrimony. The biblical literature never describes anything like this. The "sacrament" of Holy Matrimony was developed by and after Augustine, between 400 and 1100. Read your canon law: there are different kinds of marriage, only one of which is Holy Matrimony. I have a natural marriage, since I don't consider that the promises my wife and I made include any miraculous meaning or benefit. Also, the giving of consent by the woman of recent origin. All biblical references describe the woman as being taken or carried off. If there is a covenant or betrothal described in Scripture, it is between fathers or father and bridegroom. Divorces also are only by the man with the approval of other men. Jesus never institutes anything which touches on Augustine's invention--or discovery?--of Holy Matrimony.
