I couldn't understand how Wemby can be shooting at such a low percentage. With his height, he needn't bang with the trees under the hoop. He could post up and shoot uncontested fadeaways all game long and no one can guard him. The 3pt shot looks pretty when they swish, but when he's shooting at such a low clip, his EFG% could be so much higher if he would simply shoot high percentage midranges. If the bigs come out to contest, over the top passes to a slasher like Vassell would have bunnies all night long with no rim protection. I guess Pop is just running drills out there to get the lottery pick and prepare for the next season.

Well now you've noticed what every Spurs' fan knows and that's Popovich hasn't been coaching the team truly so there's a better chance of getting the top pick next draft (1-3 14%, 4th place has a 12.5% chance I believe), on the other hand Wemby is having rookie numbers basically, for comparison: Durant: 43% 29%3s Lebron: 42% 29%3s Nowitzky: 41% 21%3s Victor: 47% 32%3s

Even if they don't get the #1 pick, the Spurs would still get two top 10 picks in a draft class of that has great talent spread out across the top 10. I do find your remarks that only Spurs' fans know what's happening kind of myopic, as if only true Spurs' fans understand and non fans do not. There are plenty of Spurs' fans who are baying for Pop's blood and upset that Wemby is not utilised as the main player. There are also plenty of non Spurs' fans who understands how Pop learned from his 10 year drought with Robinson only to tank for Duncan, and supplementing them with underrated European players, that they built an actual dynasty. This next draft is filled with solid European players. If Pop gets Sarr and Topic to develop on the the same timescale as Wemby, Chuck will get no end of teasing from SA chicks for the next 10-15 years!

Ça joue déjà mieux qu'il y a 1 mois, maintenant ils commencent à sentir le souffle des spurs dans leur nuque tout le match. C'est la différence que je vois par rapport à avant.

Ce qui ne va pas c'est la faille du système de la draft. Pour "équilibrer" les équipes on donne le choix des meilleurs nouveaux jeunes joueurs aux équipes les moins fortes. Sur le papier c'est top. Le soucis c'est que certaines équipes décident d'être nulles pour choper les bons prospects. Et c'est je pense ce que fait le coach des spurs. Éviter de demander a ses joueurs de juste jeter la balle en hauteur histoire qu'il n'y ai que Wenbanyama qui puisse la récupérer et dunker pour gagner facile. Pourquoi ? Parce qu'en face il a des super team. Les wariors, les Lakers... Et il a pas les moyens de lutter avec juste Wenbanyama. Il se constitue donc une petite armé de l'ombre. Avec de bon jeunes. Si la cuvée de draft de cette année est pas ouf il attendra la prochaine. Il arrive qu'il y ai des "loupé" et ça te plombe une équipe sur des années (Zion par exemple ultra attendu et sur-blessé). Une fois qu'il aura Wenbanyama et un lieutenant qui pourra bien l'epauler et le remplacer dans le lead si il est blessé alors on assistera à l'ère des spurs. En attendant il fait jouer les gens a des postes différents histoire de les rendre les plus polyvalents et mieux se comprendre entre eux. C'est la plus jeune équipe de la ligue et normalement dans moins de 5 ans ça sera la plus violente. Alors que l'équipe qui brille là c'est OKM city thunder. Mais le soucis c'est que le bon "rival" de Wenbanyama entre dans une équipe qui est déjà bonne et qui donc je pense ne montera pas beaucoup plus en puissance. Les Clippers ont choisi de prendre les "vieux" une stratégie intéressante mais sur du court terme. Alors que les Spurs parient sur une stratégie qui pourrait leur rapporter 3 ou 4 titres de plus de champions je pense.

If that had been done, Vassel would have taken over the marking on Sabonis. So Wemby could go and hinder Fox with his shot. It's small details like that that cause you to lose matches that could have been won. Still playing well The Spurs and the Kings remain a good match. ✌✌✌✌✌✌
