Sacramento's New Helvetia Brewing Co. wants to turn into a community and employee-owned co-op

A Sacramento brewery is hoping to keep the beer flowing by proposing a creative solution: becoming a co-op. New Helvetia Brewing Company has called the corner of Broadway and 18th Street in the Capitol City home since 2012. "Our goal was to create a brewery that celebrates Sacramento and Sacramento's unique character and history," founder David Gull told KCRA 3. Over the past decade-plus, he says keeping the doors open has become a challenge on the Broadway corridor.
