We never saw it as it happened but there's a scene after naruto taking down pain and returning to the village that shows that the village basically slowly warmed up to him. It wasn't a dramatic increase in trust as soon as he saved the village as we think. It's not like he went from 0 to 100 in a day. They've slowly been accepting him as the series went on.

The thing which makes this scene even better, is that all Boruto has seen of his father so far is the tired administrator that doesn't even have the power to be at his daughter's birthday, this is the first time Boruto really sees the true Naruto, the first time he understands why everyone reveres him as a hero and the moment he understands what it means to be Hokage.

@@PrincessTwilightdash Nope, that was kept a secret in order to protect Naruto from Minato's enemies, in fact the fact that Naruto was the host for Kurama was also supposed to be a secret but someone (I'm pretty sure someone said it was danzo, wouldn't be surprised as he wanted to use Naruto and Kurama as living weapons) leaked it secretly to some people and then it spread. In fact Naruto lived a pretty calm life for the first few years of his life from what I heard until the fact that he had Kurama inside of him became known to the adults of the village and then the hating towards him began.

@@PrincessTwilightdash If you mean through his childhood then yes at least most of that time he tried to get naruto to use his power so the seal keeping him in would weaken enough for him to break free, take over naruto's body and resumes his life as a living natural disaster, destroying anything in his path. The more tails naruto got in his tailed beast state when he got surrounded by Kurama's chakra in the beginning showed that the seal was getting weaker and weaker, until the point when he got the fourth tail and turned in to mini version of Kurama, and the more tails he got the more like him he became, like with eight he practically was a furless Kurama.

It's funny how a priori this scene is relatively simple: a character with god-like powers uses them to do an impressive feat and protect his people. But this scene hits so much harder than that because we've seen this boy go start as an ostracized good-for-nothing, we saw him struggle again and again incredibly hard to become stronger, to strengten his resolve, all because he believed one day he would have this level of power. It makes it so much more emotional to see where he is now.

0:39 at first I didn't get why they made a beast bomb, since nothing else happens after it's created, but then I remembered the fight vs Orochimaru when they made one and ate it, it made him too heavy to move and fight back. Essentially, Kurama ate it to make them too heavy to be pushed back by the one being thrown at them. A very subtle, but genius move if you really think about it.

Man, I'm not really watching Boruto right now, but I can't help crying watching this. We see Boruto remember his "Dad's chakra", realizing how Naruto protected and cared for him and Himawari as a father. But we, seeing Naruto's growth, see more than that. We see the the depth and reason why he would so willingly absorb and personally contain an attack he could easily obliterate. And us looking at him with/through Boruto, and the onlookers, also reminded us just how far Naruto has come and matured. The music just complements the scene well.
