Welcome to Inscryption! This game is like the horror version of slay the spire. It is a deck builder where you have to sacrifice weak cards to play stronger ones, which means that you have to play very tactical to keep your weak cards alive to bring out the more powerful beasts. There are also some really fun upgrade mechanics and a ton of other gimmicks that made this game an absolutely awesome experience! I cannot wait for the full game to come out. I love how a mistake lead into the creation of the overpowered Insym card. Kinda sadly that he won't have the chance to take it into the full game. Seems kinda randombased what card you can choose from, so it's pretty unlikely to get it again.

Insym you are an absolute legend for playing this, I got 50'ish minutes in and when you stood up from the table, I just short of slapped my desk and declared, "I MUST HAVE THIS GAME", and I have had an absolute blast with it, it's amazing, and this part you're playing was only the _demo_? I wonder if the demo was ever updated over time, or if they only put out the demo once it was this high quality.

Most of his playthrough of the full release is still on twitch under highlights. I tried coming here to watch the rest... I think there are only two vods though and the second part randomly stops, so I don't know if he ever got to the third phase of the game. But he wasn't enjoying the second phase and was contemplating on what to do. Seeing as he never uploaded it on youtube, I assume he decided to not post it all :/

I would of sacrificed the cochroach and empowered the Wolfcub with it. Just makes since because the wolf cub would grow into a wolf and if it dies it just comes back again as a wolf cub that you can easily get back on the table.

This game is awesome. If you didn't know Insym, you get more content if you die from the prospector. It's almost limitless content to play. There's also puzzles in the cabin to explore so you're never really done. Would love another video on it, You can continue, even after beating it right before the boss so it's easy to get to the new content.

I am super excited for this game (I looooooove deck builders), but was bizarrely disappointed with my playthrough of the demo. You touched on it at the very end - if you beat the boss your first time through, which I did, that's it, demo over, and you don't get to interact with any more of the game . You don't get the option to start a new game, or see anything special. Watching other folks play the demo, I'm really excited! But it was just disappointing and anticlimactic to not get to do any of the special things -- make a you character, collect teeth to trade with the trapper, collect bones for bone cost cards, see the skink/the opposum/the ant cards, do any of the special puzzles in the overworld (I actually tried inputting the code, because I was curious, and it doesn't do anything if you haven't been given the code in your game, even though if you look at other people who have played the demo, it's the same code for every demo) -- that you and other's got to do and interact with. Still excited though. Welcome to the world of deck builders. They're a ton of fun.

Try to do the thing you did with the Insym card you had here when the game comes out. With the sigils and upgrades, you can get a good card straight off the bat. You will have to sacrifice a game for it, but it's worth it in the end.

Just played the demo then, didn't die and got to the end. Managed to defeat him on the first run. It played a vid and closed my game. Re-open the game and failed so I can actually play more like you did. I kept dying on purpose to see if there was anything else but it didn't seem like there was much more then from what you experienced. It was a great game for being a demo.

Why magic? Magic has a real different ruleset and lore to it. It's really more like Yugioh with the sacrificing. Don't get me wrong, great if you like it. I just can't see the resemblance to magic.

@@DeLuciosX The power and health is similar. A lot of the creature abilities have similarities; deathtouch, flying, reach, double strike, phasing, and other mechanics to name a few. The ability to combine cards is similar to mutate. But yeah the way you play cards and do combat is similar to Yugioh. I never played it myself but I know enough about it to see the similarities in it.
