I love the melamine (sp?) bowl. The color is really pretty and the fact that it was made locally makes it so much more valuable in my view.

sucks about the moving situation. we recently had to move and totally didnt want to. but our new place ended up being such an upgrade (and not more expensive ) and was the best thing ever !

I'm so sorry about your apartment fire. I truly enjoy your content and am hoping you will continue. Just a suggestion, you do have rights as a renter and might consider contacting a lawyer for some advice, if you haven't already. You might be due for some monetary compensation by the owner's insurance co. On another note, I would love, love to see some of your DIY vids. The Pasadena Flea seems pricey. I was thinking of traveling to it from Ventura, but now after seeing the prices, I think not! Can you recommend some good flea markets that are reasonably priced? It seems that everything in Cali is over priced! Thank you and take care. Hope all works out well for you.

But I truly think Long Beach Flea is the most affordable all-around. You can get lucky with Rose Bowl depending on the time of day or vendor, and Palm Springs was hit or miss price-wise but the variety at those 3 has been the best.

Whoa - that super sucks that your apartment caught on fire, thank God, you're alright and your belongings are are fine. I would not want to stay there either after that. If the landlord recently bought the building and didn't have it inspected, shame on him. Makes you wonder what else is wrong in the building that wasn't inspected or fixed. I hope you were compensated for the inconvenience of having to live in those conditions for that long and that your total deposit will be refunded. I've been binge watching your videos since I discovered your channel a few weeks ago, so I know you've found the perfect little casa and already making it your own - yeah!

Yeah seriously! It was horrendous and the landlord was not great. But it mostly worked out in our favor, however the deposit was stolen and it’s too much of a drain to go after it legally after we talked to an attorney about it, we just want to be done sadly. Overall it’s best to just leave bad people and places to start enjoying somewhere new.

@@livingwithlk - I'm a landlord, I own a duplex, live on one side and rent the other side out. I always compensate for any inconvenience, happy tenants make long time tenants, the best kind.

How awful for you! Now we know you found a Spanish Revival place to rent and it’s beautiful. On a completely different note, for decor, have you ever looked for West German pottery from the 1960s-70s? The most exported brand was Scheurich. Next were Bay and Carstens Tönnieshof. I think with your aesthetic, you would like many of them. I have maybe 15 West German vases-I especially like the “fat lava” ones. Anyway, just a suggestion bc I saw you pass over some that look West German, and even an Italian Bitossi in the Rimini Blu pattern.

I know right!! It all worked out -- so glad that place is behind us... and yes! I have seen a bunch at the palm springs vintage market mainly.. or really there's a lot in palm springs. Its always very pricey though.. especially those beautiful Italian Bitossi blue ones! I sometimes skip over expensive stuff because I'm like 😣 I wish!

The Bitossi is ridiculously expensive. It’s all about the hype. The W. German ones are variable in price and you can sometimes find them at thrift stores.
