You have a great channel, why don’t more people know about it? I believe it’s because of the name of your channel. It didn’t attract me. Your channel came up on my feed and since it was money saving I read it. It’s excellent and I just subscribed. I wonder if you’d ever consider changing the name to attract viewers cuz you deserve it

Great hacks! I actually fell in love with curtain track draperies about 15 years ago (think hospital curtain), but the hardware at the time was utilitarian & clunky. But when i replaced them about 5 years ago, i was delighted by how minimal they look now. Only difference is that now i run the track down entire length of the wall so i can let the drapes pool where i want (split on both sides, all on either side or waaay down in a corner out of the way of everything) 14:10. I found mine on Amazon & have started replacing all my rods with them. Also, i cant say enough about zebra shades (also via Amazon). From someone who HATED dusting faux wood blinds & planation shutters, they were a game changer!

Caution re: covering up thermostats…they need to regulate temperature, so you don’t want to block them in. Love the hidden art idea to cover breaker boxes etc though!

I've bought some pretty bird decals to put around switches as I'm not allowed to do anything much to them in the Assisted Living flat I have. They also help me find them easily as my eyesight is getting worse. They weren't very expensive and look fabulous.❤

Peel and stick is NOT intended to be temporary or removable. It's about easy installation. Look for items that specifically state removable or temporary glue

I know I'm late to the comment game here but MUSEUM WAX! I can't get that where I live (Taiwan, where we also have earthquakes), but I put very tiny dabs of Blu-Tac under my valuables -- it has the same effect, but Blu-Tac can stain, stick or discolor. I might try to pick up some museum wax when I am in the US next.

The rules in my building are so strict. We can’t even paint anything other than this ugly hospital color. We can’t make any changes to the windows. We can’t build shelves over our radiators. It’s just ridiculous, but I did love your video.

My mom was queen of dried flowers. Flower frogs I’ve never seen. She made wreaths, decorations with anything. Functional pieces must have. Money plants were dried and you peel the leaves and they look like coins on stems. Wood. Function. Coasters. Stools. I want to go thrifting. Knobs change the whole piece. Kitchen goods can be washed. Old and hand made are pretty and useful. Yards. String lights. Solar lights. Chimes and bird feeders. Bookcases. My dad made one for my brother. He refused it. I took it. I have books. I needed it. He really upset my dad. Clocks. They are pretty and tell time. Get one. Thank you! You are a wealth of information.

Pottery is awesome. I have a few pieces. Not mass produced. Hand turned and kilned. I love functional pieces. Table linens are very important if you are having guests. I have my mom’s and some of her mom’s. Long and detailed needlework on some. Cloth napkins are not expensive. Napkin rings and place setting mats. Old clothing and fabric can be washed. Your tray behind you is beautiful. My furniture is all wood. Vintage furniture is hand made. Teak wood is beautiful. I have a pinewood secretary desk it was my papas. Do not paint wood. Lord I’d have a heart attack. I want trays. Trays are functional and pretty. I love the tray behind you. Candle holders I like brass and glass ones. I have real hurricane lamps. My mom kept her mom’s. I got them. They are oil filled.

Cleaning old tile bathroom flooring is infinitely easier if you spray the floor in sections and sprinkle baking soda over the area, let sit a couple minutes and then scrub. Usually does the trick. And then use a warm wet towel to wipe it off. When the whole floor gets done, just mop with water til removed.

I like brass. Not copper. Copper turns green. I have antique furniture. I love old patinas on different things. Colored glass ware. I like the blue ones. Pink and green too. I like clear too. My point about my quilts. My Memaw sewed them. I’m using them. Lighting where there are no overhead lights. Lamps lamps lamps. I didn’t know the lamps could have split outlets. They can be rewired. Frames are art in and of themselves. They are better made than the new ones today. My mom used all the same frames on her wall in the hall. It was great.

Try iron on the dried candle wax on the linen tablecloth. Before you do anything else. No peel and stick tile. Do not put it up. It’s going to damage the underlying material. Line it before you peel and stick anything. You can damage the wood, brick, whatever it is that you are putting it on. It’s designed to stick and stay stuck. Don’t use it on the wall. Peel and stick stuff is intended to stay put. It will not come off easily. I use it inside the cubbies. I like the curtains from the ceiling. Magic bulbs. They are awesome. Battery powered bulbs. The lamp I bought has three settings. Bright, soft and warm light. Thank you!

I need the adapter for outside. Privacy is required and peel and stick faux stained glass is a good idea. Vents, grills, etc. Paint it to blend in to the wall. Paint the outlet covers. I don’t have radiators. Camo for ugly brick is a good idea. Ceiling fans replace the glass lobes. Landlords will be ok with stuff that’s minor but ask first. I just bought a lamp for my bedroom off amazon. I’m getting more. This thing is great. It has a remote control and changes color. Electric candles are more useful than I thought.
