Dash, that car's no good for you. You need something with high acceleration since you kind of hit a lot of things. Low acceleration, high top speed is for people that umm... don't hit walls. Sorry. Use smaller characters so you can use different cars.

Lovin' this gameplay Ayo Dashie, dunno if anybody let chu know but you can get both of your characters to carry items with the single boxes. Like, when you get one item box, you can have that char hold onto it by switching drivers. Like that, the next item box you hit will have the other one get the item (I think, been a while since I played this)

Hey Dashie! Next time (if there is a next time) you play this game, a huge part of winning is picking characters with good specials. Like Mario and Luigi have the fire balls, Bowzer and his mini me have the huge shells, the princesses have this heart thing that protects them from getting hit and/or take the item that tries to hit them (I haven't played in a long time or I would know for sure) the babies have the chain chomp things. I think the Koopa's have 3 green shells and 3 pink shells depending on which one you pick. Anyway the best tactic is to find two characters that have good specials and pick them for your race. It helps a lot.
