So true. Gen X grew up post MLK Jr and we believe in the principle of judging on individual merit. Skin colour was unimportant, we all loved each other's music and that was cool. I was into Martin Gaye, Prince, Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy, Blur, Nirvana, Crowded House, Portishead, Sheryl Crow and dance music. A bit eclectic. The 90s ruled.

My fave R&B group of the '90s! "Free Your Mind" was their foray into rock (I think Janet Jackson's "Black Cat" came out around the same time? which I loved as well). A friend of mine in school turned me on to them with their first hit "Hold On." But I think my ultimate favorite song of theirs is "Never Gonna Get It." This was one of my absolute favorite songs when I was growing up and in 2021 it's STILL amazing. They were way ahead of their time. Their video for 'Whatever' is something that would be made today.

That's why this rock format was perfect for this song. Free your mind! I love En Vogue!👍🏾👵🏿💖🤗 which is an R&B group.

Such an awesome group! One of my favorites in the '90s. My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It) is probably my favorite of theirs, but they have so many other great songs.

From the 90s, and they still rock and still have a sassy R&B groove. And definitely +1 for "My Lovin' (Never Gonna Get It)"...

Was just thinking about that. Everytime I hear this song I think of Woody! Lol “If it's got hair, I can ride it. If it's got a beat, I can dance to it.”

They broke out of there box with this song and made a strong statement. IMO they had the tightest harmonies of the 90's female groups.

The director of this video also did Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz, Rain by Madonna and Scream by Michael & Janet Jackson. In the BTS of Scream a comment was made that you could pause any of those videos at any point and it would look like a beautiful piece of artwork. Very true!

Best ladies group of the 1990s-they could all sing! En Vogue I believe all of them were in their 30s when they hit it big. Then we got teens/early twenties groups later in the nineties for the “young” generation.

The powerful message of this song holds true today just as much as it did back then! These are four insanely talented and beautiful women. I don’t know if anyone can touch their harmonies.
