Yes she was, she took her anger out on Adora, the one who only wanted to help her. But I suppose fear is what made Catra abusive. Fear does a lot to someone. But ofc, it's never an excuse. Good edit btw!!

As someone who was abused- literally not all of us become abusers It happens sometimes, yes, but for it time be portrayed in media so often is insulting, just like it is insulting to portray us as scared children We’re people like everyone else

No she isnt, she waas toxic but she never did anyhing purely abusive, slashing someone once isnt abuse, abuse is repetetive, lashing out isnt abuse, but it sure is a symptom of bpd which catra definitly has.

Since you don’t think this behavior is abusive let me pull out official sites that describe and break it down for you (all of these were committed by Catra, by the way) Types of physical abuse •Assault, hitting, slapping, punching, kicking, hair-pulling, biting, pushing, clawing (whilst they were and weren’t enemies- Catra pushed, slapped, hair pulled and clawed Adora in S5, the Remember episode, ep 1 s1 and flashback in S5) •Rough handling (pretty self explanatory) • Inappropriate or unlawful use of restraint (when she kidnapped Adora and brought her to the horde + crimson waste) • Making someone purposefully uncomfortable (just look at adora looking at Catra in fear) • Unauthorised restraint, restricting movement (read above) Types of psychological or emotional abuse • Enforced social isolation - preventing someone accessing services, educational and social opportunities and seeing friends (“Be with your new best friend Lonnie, I know you like her better than me!”) • Preventing the expression of choice and opinion (“This is what we always wanted”) • Failure to respect privacy (Catra ignoring Adora’s boundaries (The Sword part II and the shot in the dark) • Intimidation, coercion, harassment, use of threats, humiliation, bullying, swearing or verbal abuse (you’re such an idiot) • Addressing a person in a patronising or infantilising way (read above) •Threats of harm or abandonment (left adora in S5) Also, Catra isn’t confirmed to have BPD. It’s a headcanon the fans made up and pretty demonizing at that. Not every person with BPD is a war criminal I talked to multiple people with BPD and all told me that Catra is very insensitive and toxic representation People with BPD don’t need to be demonized
