Sad Flowers:🎵 On Breaking Up (and finding love again)

Losing a romantic relationship can be the hardest experience of our lives.
Inspired by my own transition out of a relationship, these words and images came together to articulate this anguish (and recovery). It is my hope others experiencing this heartache can find some comfort in this video.
This will be perhaps the first of other such musical poems I create about the essence of our human experiences.

That void... That void at the end of a breakup talk, filled with sensations of change and loss. drained and exposed raw nerves disposed These expressions from deep develop. Our roses fall. Our tulips weep. Our marigold's shine turns to grey. Our leaves grieve, as we take our leave. Leaves taken by grief, lacking love's rays. So quiet is the lifelessness in this room, with love's vibrancy sapped from our bloom. Our roses fall. Our tulips cry. Our marigold's shine is merry no more. Our leaves grieve, as we take our leave. Leaves taken by grief, as they wilt to the floor. So quiet is the lifelessness in this room, with love's vibrancy sapped from our bloom. (interlude) Yet beyond these clouds-a sun never so bright will shine its love upon you, filling your room with light. And when in a space filled with such light and love, the sweetest sound is the absence thereof. For with a heart is its own ear to hear. Rather than sound, it's a spiritual cheer. Your rose will rise. Your tulips smile. Your marigolds, indeed, gold and merry all the while. And now your rays shine and light up the room. Shining upon little, happy flowers, making them bloom.
