It's triggering. I was out late one night as a twen. I sat on the couch to face my punishment, only for my uncle to not notice that I was late and he went to go to sleep. He laid down and everything. Only to realize the woman beside him, isn't breathing anymore. She had a heart attack in her sleep. I think I was there before she took a nap. Left house with her still shining. Came back to hear my uncle saying those exact words, along with "come on! Please! Don't leave me! Come on shar" I was in shock for months.

One of the best characters in super hero film history in my opinion. She helped Peter save so many people but at the cost of her life. The performance for Gwen was phenomenal. Emma really brought the character to life. The thing which makes her death sadder is that it was kind of preventable. If she had just listened to Peter and stayed, she would have lived. But she did what was right. Great movie and I really hope they make a third one

I don't cry in movies all that much (even though I do more often than an average guy I suppose), but Gwen's death hit my like a ton of bricks. I had come to love the romance between her and Peter (honestly one of my favorite movie romances), and, as I never read the comics, in no way was I expecting her to die like that. The reason this scene was so emotionally impactful for was because even after her fall was stopped, I still didn't believe that she was dead. Even when Peter got down to her, even when HE started crying, I still would not believe it. Then when the reality set in, that Peter would have to live the rest of his life without the one that he loved, the floodgates just opened.

The middle part is also amazing because it sounds like Peter is slowly moving on from Gwen's death and is starting to consider being Spider-Man again, and what makes him become Spider-Man again is the exact same person that he inspired to stand up to people stronger than him. It's that kid he saved from being bullied earlier in the story, then the main theme begins. This represents how Spidey came back from the shadows and is back to defend the citizens of New York from the various Supervillains and Criminals.

I don't think any spiderman movie had such deep emotions, I will never understand why it is one of the highly under-rated movies. Every spiderman movie had a message they deliver, TASM 's however is the deepest - death is a part of life and it can't be controlled. No matter what happens we must hold on to hope and keep trying. I have watched the movie itself over 40 times and I never get bored.

I think, it's not only for the action but we're seeing him as a teenager, we're seeing Spider-man grow over the course of the movies rather than just have a romance arc at the center point or someone dying to change him drastically. Sure there's Iron Man in the factor, but he is still able to grow and fight his battles without him. Look at Vulture for example, Spider-man could have just waited for some miracle that Iron Man and the other Avengers available to take action and stay at the dance, but he didn't, he took responsibility and stopped him himself. I think people prefer the MCU Spiderman because we're seeing him grow and be a real teenager who is growing into a hero rather than a mature young adult that is mostly focus on protecting the city or the romance arc.

This scene was so impactful. The clock tower ticking signifying her time is running out and the web attempting to reach out for her resembling a hand in some way. The soundtrack and the scene was so emotional, I remember being sat in theaters with my girlfriend on date night when gwen died everyones jaw dropped my girlfriend held onto my hand I looked at her and everyone else in the room it was just silent, when Andrews Peter held her in his arms everyone started crying I could never imagine something like this happening not only to me but to anyone it's so painful especially when Andrews and Emma's chemistry is amazing it made the scene Evan more painful, but it had happenen it happens in the comics in the same exact way just it's not at the clock tower it's on the top of the bridge, Stan Lee killed her off because her relationship with Peter was to perfect there wasn't much more material they could go off so Stan lee had goblin kill her in the comic issue the night gwen stacy died. So sad but this scene was done beautifully Edit:after watching no way home I'm sooo happy Andrew got his redemption so emotional well done Sony and marvel!!
