Thank you. I really questioned it the first few days but now I think it was what needed to happen, he was clearly in a lot of pain, and with his condition it was very likely to return even if it were fixed

So sorry for your loss. You did the best you could, so please don’t question yourself. I know it is hard not to but I found it make it harder to heal from a loss of a pet.

Thank you. I'll likely end up getting another cat. Just having 1 now my apartment feel so empty. I know though that no one can truly replace him as they are all unique. We see traits in them that may remind of us past pets but our connections are never quite the same.

Our time with them is limited, sometimes more than we know it will be. But the happiness and love they give us in that time outweighs the sorrow of their loss

I'm so sorry you had to make a decision so difficult, I can completely relate it happened to me as well. Our pets become our family and it just makes it that much more difficult, try to remind yourself that he is no longer in pain or suffering hang in there.

I know we have to put their wellbeing first and with his issues a relapse was likely. I know it was the right decision. I will miss him but i'm thankful for the time we did have.
