Please encourage him to go and learn the sign language (that will be his mode of communication). He should learn a skill. He is not alone, there are more of his type. I wouldnt go for cohlear implant, of course, it has it prons and cons; maintenance is a huge ..... there is financial challenge, so who is going to assist him, throughout his life.
