Sadashivgad | कराड प्रांतातील एक अपरिचित दुर्ग
Sadashivgad is an unknown fort in Satara district and Karad taluka, just 8 km from Karad city. Shiv Chhatrapati built this fort after 1673.This fort was built by Shivaji Maharaj mainly to control the Surli Ghat. During Shivaraya's time, this fort was used as a military surveillance fort.Base village of sadashiv fort is Hajarmachi,from this village there is a complete footpath to reach the fort.It is a medium-sized fort and we can reach the fort after half an hour of climbing. There is an ancient Shiva temple on the fort and there are many small and big water places of old times..Also, two round and two square shaped wells are still there today. Local citizens have planted a lot of trees on the fort. The ancient remains of the construction of the fort are disappearing. An ancient rock-cut water tank can be seen on a hill in the fort.

कराड शहरापासून अवघ्या 8 किमी अंतरावर असलेला,सातारा जिल्ह्यातील आणि कराड तालुक्यातील सदाशिवगड हा अज्ञात किल्ला आहे. शिवछत्रपतींनी हा किल्ला १६७३ नंतर बांधला.हा किल्ला शिवाजी महाराजांनी मुख्यत्वे सुर्ली घाटावर नियंत्रण ठेवण्यासाठी बांधला होता. शिवरायांच्या काळात हा किल्ला लष्करी निगराणीचा किल्ला म्हणून वापरला जायचा. सदाशिव किल्ल्याचा पायथ्याचे गाव हाजरमाची आहे, या गावातून किल्ल्यावर जाण्यासाठी पूर्ण पायवाटा आहे. हा मध्यम आकाराचा किल्ला असून अर्ध्या नंतर आपण गडावर पोहोचू शकतो. चढाईचा एक तास. गडावर पुरातन शिवमंदिर असून तेथे जुन्या काळातील अनेक छोटी-मोठी पाण्याची ठिकाणे आहेत..तसेच दोन गोल आणि दोन चौकोनी आकाराच्या विहिरी आजही आहेत. स्थानिक नागरिकांनी गडावर मोठ्या प्रमाणात झाडे लावली आहेत. गडाच्या बांधकामाचे प्राचीन अवशेष लुप्त होत आहेत. किल्ल्यातील एका टेकडीवर एक प्राचीन दगडी पाण्याची टाकी दिसते.
