I love this video, Pete Rock's beat is amazing and damages the brain for the betterment. I know others don't like X's flow, but I love it, it has this freestyle, almost like a freer jazz horn approach (like Eric Dolphy) or some of the abstract poetry from the 60's. DeLa also has that approach. Pharoah Munch and even Reks go off the meter but to a much smaller degree, and it adds incredible freedom to the rhyme scheme. But X still keeps the funk in his delivery. X is one of the best in my pov.
