I've been today to get the steak pie!! That gravy was brilliant, plenty of meat!! I lts first time I've been I live in wigan, if you Google whittles pies they used to have a shop there years ago, then let out the shop to.galloways bakers, then in covid the daughters of the original owner set up again selling pies from a van, then when lease was up they kicked out galloways and opened up themselves, they not been open that long. Hit and miss on how warm the pies are at pepper lane gents as they dont have a warmer due to the extra cost in tax,but decent hotpot when it's hot

My mouth is watering here Greg! The bakery looked gorgeous apart from the kebab pie which I wouldn’t like. Would really recommend you try archers bakery in Marple, in particular the pork pies and the cheese and onion, they are epic. ❤

Another place worth the drive is a stall on Bury market. The stall is called Harry Muffins. The pies they sell are from a bakery in Haslingden and they're called Cissy Greens. They are amazing!!!! Beef and chilli pie is awesome, but they all are. You need to be there really early though. I promise you'll not be disappointed.

nice one,I said in a live chat you should nip Wigan, loads indepenant pie shops, one near Standish called Gents not far off the M6 J27 old skool bakery, when its sold out thats it no more till tmorrrow I've never tried the kebab pie, not a fan of kebab donner meat anymore

I live in Wigan and yes they are the best pies, personal favourites mince beef pies and cheese and onion pasty. The only one I don't like is Donner pies then again I don't like Donner meat either. Hope you enjoy the rest👍
