As an American- no, he wasn't a kind person. But look at everything that happened. Power corrupts. Our country has become Sick. Drunk on blood and victory in 1945, we never stopped trying to be the cowboy beating bad guys up. It became our excuse and our justification.

Power corrupted Dick Cheney (and George W. Bush) to invade for oil money. Honestly, I feel like the war was such a disaster. It has permanently affected America’s foreign policy. The Republicans are now fairly anti-war (especially Trump (on paper)). I think the decision to disband the Iraqi military was one of the worst decisions in military history. Perhaps all of this happened for a reason to make America distain war. Imagine a world where the war was a success, and America was truly convinced it could invade everywhere without repercussions. Also imagine a world where that grenade went off in 2005 and we got dictator Cheney. Read articles about that guy (I wish I could link them), he was totally power obsessed. Also a fairly dumb person
