Nice video. I have been in situations where I’ve used my tether to tie off while ascending in the way you demonstrated. I’ve had times where attaching and removing my tether repeatedly while ascending have been a little more time consuming than I would like on trees with more than a couple of limbs. Because if this, I have since added a second lineman rope to keep in my pack. That way, I can break it out and have it ready to attach above or below a limb as needed. That way, when I remove the primary lineman rope, I can continue climbing with the secondary one until I reach the next obstacle and need to switch again. If there are enough limbs on the tree, the time savings will add up quickly. Adding the second lineman rope option also keeps my tether ready to attach when I need step on my platform instead of being used in some other capacity that may hinder that along the way.
