Hey Jon, thanks for info. I just bought the new softail standard and am getting ready to put the stock solo seat in my front yard with a " Free" sign on it! I have never rode such an uncomfortable seat ever! Im looking at the saddlemen step up. I havent seen any videos regarding the San Diego seat. Im certain ill go with the regular saddlemen, but seeing two comparisons is very helpful in regards to my situation. Thanks for putting another you tube for me to subscribe to. As always, ride safe!

I have a soft tail standard too and the Saddlemen step up is not for me. I'm trying to find a comfortable seat with backrest. What did you end up with?

I bought the Corbin Wall seat. It positioned me way to far back for my liking so I traded it for a tattoo...lol...After watching your video and a few others I ordered this seat today for my Dyna S. Thanks for the thorough review it was very helpful.

Great review. I want to get the SDC for comfort and looks. But I was hoping it would sit me back further with the rounded profile then the step up. I'm 6" so I've been considering the whiplash slipstream

I know it’s been a while, but would you say the SDC sits you forward and up more so than the step up? Trying to rethink my seating position on my 2017 street hob

I had the step up on my Sport Glide this year with gripper stuff for sure. What is the distance of both seats front to lumbar? Saddlemen site says 1,5inch longer for the SDC??

Maybe by an inch or so, it’s not super significant how much it raises you up.

I'm not sure which one would block more wind, however the Imzz Elite fairing looks cooler in my opinion

like your review, curious what fairing is that? I was thinking of the explorer seat for long rides but your review got me thing plus you're about my body build.

It's a Conelys USA fairing. They're out of business unfortunately, but IMZZElite makes a great fairing, as well as JD Customs.

I have a stock 2014 low rider should I wait to get a saddlemen to start ordering bars and risers or do you think it shouldn’t matter too much?
@JonsMotorcycles3 жыл бұрын
The difference in the seat is probably about an inch in height, you could do either one first and not see a huge difference.
