I think AB devs don't see rats as a problem. AB wants to keep low skill players engaged.

This is true, irl tactics some military man actually use this "ratting" as to wait and unalive others without alerting others enemy, so AB letting ppl doin it without problem is a fine decision

Maybe they could introduce a new feature to scav AI where there will be like patrols of high skill scavs. Instead of just sticking in one area, they will go to the last sound of gunshots and seek out players. Then, every 5 minutes, the game gives them a hint to where players are and they will move to the closest location. This would heavily discourage ratting because the hunter scavs would eventually find them if they stay in the same place for too long- and would also encourage players to loot quickly and move away from gunfights so they don’t get ambushed by the hunters while looting.

thats why i dont play small maps, its not the CQB, since there are plenty of guns superb for that, its the atrocius spawn points desing this game have, in bigger maps like valley or NR is still an issue but at least the distances give you some time to react and look for some cover. that paired with a Match maker that likes to put solos in between two full teams to get killed makes it very infuriating some times.

In my first game of s5 tv station i got ratted by a t5 on the platform where you first extracted ( i didnt know you could go down there tbh it was my first time playing s5 tvs ) and lost maybe 1.2 mil? 2 boss loot and a bunch of ammo stacks

Rats is obviously better than cheaters (I like ratting myself). and they cannot fix your rat problem, the only problem I have is the spawns locations, its so predictable I can kill them or they kill me just within 3-1 minutes just after spawns

I got ratted myself quite few times, so I'm not really that mad, but if there a new spot I will use it too, crabbers and ratting is also making cheaters obvious like if I been sitting in a room and somehow they know im there I will report those scums. Extraction games like this won't be complete if there not a single rat in the game, ratting is a strategy that something you cannot fix, just like you running around killing players with high tier ammo with fully kitted guns and fully armored up. Hearing you complain about rat is like me complaining about chads running around in the map finding players, like why are there player like that likes run around why are they not looting containers
