Fact: it doesn't matter what medals you get. Depending what medal you get, you can still unlock hidden abilities for the characters and many more goodies.

Yeah. They're mainly there for Achievement/Completionist purposes.

Awesome video! Every time I start a new save on Sonic Mania I reset my medallion data so I get to complete all 32 of these in game every time. It's awesome that they were included!

fun fact: i actually have my own names for every blue spheres level. i can explain. 00:00=angel island 102. this is because the original 7 sonic 3 special stages were all patterned like the stage order for the original sonic 3. and by original, i mean prototype beta stuff. think it over for a moment and remember that flying battery was supposed to go 5th instead of ice cap. mind-blowing. also, you need 102 blue spheres to beat it, hence angel island 102. this continues with hydrocity 127, marble garden 118, carnival night 115(i think), flying battery 58, ice cap 128, and launch base/wizard 60. that one has 2 names because of something i might leave in an update. the rest in this video? 4:46=lemonlime 76 6:27=shamrock 98 8:21=rhinoceros 120 11:22=thundercracker 72 13:21=minty 136 17:52=pajama 74 21:45=motherlove 127 26:13=constructicon/hazard 64(another two-namer) 29:16=halloween 100 and 31:14=easter 71

Getting all gold gives you both the trophies/achievements on getting gold and silver medals stacked. It's like going for hard mode to get the other difficulty trophies/achievements of easy and normal stacked.

+Nebulo The Wolf As far as I know, Gold only unlocks the trophy/achievement. Silver can unlock everything else.

+sonicbluray The Full Medal Jacket trophy should unlock. You'll still have a chance to get the gold trophy afterward.

I gotta ask mate. Was it worth it? Anyway, I'm at 9 golds so far so I'm like 1/4 way there. But for your time stamps can you add a side not saying how many rings/blue spheres are in the stage so we can easily find the one we need.

The motion of these stages hurts my eyes. I hate that there is really no way to control how the dude moves. I can’t just jump over one or two it feels random. Or there will be points of no return. I think these stages are bullshit
