I don’t know, Shiva went into deep meditation after mourning Sati, he was so much in grief after her death. Imagine losing the woman you loved, who loved you and accepted you wholeheartedly, the grief can take a lot of time to go away. Sati was the only woman who loved him and had the courage to be with him despite all of the criticisms. Despite his perceived “strangeness” Shiva was a very loving husband to Sati, he treated her as his equal. When a person loves you, it makes us feel strong, it gives us the faith that someone is there, they believe in us, they love us. Someone is accepting us for both our flaws when people criticize it. At the same time, if that love is gone we feel weak and aimless. Shiva shows us that we can still live and be strong after we lost a loved one. That it takes time to overcome the grief and pain.
