He isn’t saying astrology isn’t valid, but some of these comments seem to think so. People shitting on astrology are smugly satisfied in their ignorance. His perspective of overcoming ‘bad’ placements or natal charts by connecting to the Source is the same thing true astrology/astrologers recommened. Correlation, rather than influence, is better suited for discussion.

You are right. Here is my interpretation of what he said: He does say that astrology is valid. He said if you are not conscious it will control your life, but he also said that putting your faith in astrology predictions is no way to live. Trying to predict the future is not a good idea, because it keeps you from being conscious about what is happening now. So you will in fact be giving away the control of your life, more or less. This does not mean that it is bad to learn astrology like you would learn about the weather. If there is bad weather you can still do what you want as long as you can deal with the weather. What he is warning about is to use it to predict events in the future. Did I understand this right?

Sadhguru has just saved my life. I have always been planetary enthusiast and their influence on us. I was taken to an astrologer by my sister and this person was very respected in society. I am a performer artist and have been in this industry for 10 years had and awesome career but had a tough time since COVID. The same concerns took me to him, this man looks at my kundli and tell me that my current career can be my hobby but not my main hustle because according to him i have a lot of talent but shukra (the planet) is in some specific nakshatra which blocks opportunities. So inspite of tremendous talent I will never have work in future. So he suggested me to change my strean to a job or business. My whole life was shattered in a moment. This art i dedicated 10 years of my life and it is ruined because this fuckn star is in some specific nakshatra. I went into depression started drinking and gave up on my career because my family started pressuring me to stop my art and do a stationary business. But this video has woken up the sleeping lion inside me. I will take charge of my life and prove everyone wrong. I will show them that I always was and meant to be an artist. A new journey begins. Astrology is best to be used in order to discern one’s strengths and weaknesses. The person may be ruled by too much air and not enough earth = unbalance. Thus, the unbalanced person needs the element of fire or earth to ground them. Then.. it so happens..you can look at their natal chart and tell them what they should be doing in order to balance themselves. When people are not conscious or balanced...you can use astrology to help fix it.

Astrology should not be used to predict , especially for somebody other than themselves - it should only be seen to clear karmic debts & bring the best out of ourselves to open higher possibilities and to reach enlightenment ! Astrology is a tool to enlightenment ( Jothidam / Jyothish means the eternal light ) & not for making or manifesting needs of material plane ( even though it can be done ) & it will also comes with a karmic cost if you do any such things . secondly Nobody is over Astrology / if you see it ultimately Nobody can live a life that is out of pure will ! Rightly said by few comments Astrology is not about predictions but being aware of planetary positions and how best you could use their energy.. This is for someone who absolutely knows how NOT to get carried away by external things/forces.. By and large people can easily yield to astrology, fear of god and soon it becomes addiction, you are too much dependent on it. Instead of you taking charge of your life, you let astrology control it. That should be avoided is what Sadhguru is saying by giving examples of technology advancement that we have done already. But if planets have impacts on our life ? very much YES as mentioned by Sadhguru but as per him one must believe in his/her efforts rather than depending on astrology.

The physical planet doesn’t decide our Destiny per se. But Planets have grahana on us (they eclipse our Mind which then acts and thinks certain way) and are the tool through which our Destiny and Path is interpreted. They are the map. And if you truly know Astrology, you will realise most of life is predestined. The Gita says, "Everywhere, in all the material universes, the dispositions of nature - gunas of Prakriti perform all works. But deluded by egoism, man thinks ‘I am the doer’. We want to believe we are in control of our Destiny. But we are not. Tomorrow you can walk on the street and be hit by a car … where is your control? Tomorrow you may learn you have incurable disease, where is your control? Free will is part of the illusion of this Maya. Once we are born, we follow a certain path we must walk and Destiny is at play at all time. Hence there is a constant saying “ surrender to God” . Why? Exactly for the fact that our paths are predestined and we have no control as per our understanding of control. Our conscious choices in life are already predefined and predestined. We are born with such body and Mind and gunas, that will lead us to exactly the path that is meant for us and we will make the exact choices that will take us there. Our subconscious Mind (the one that knows everything and knows our Destiny path already) decides our actions and choices long before our conscious mind realises it.

Basically we need to question the concept of a person's birth star or "nakshatra" How can the sun and moon have unique or exclusive effects on individuals based on their religious or caste background? Isn't true that the effects of the sun and the moon, as astronomical phenomena, are universal and apply to all living beings on Earth regardless of their religious beliefs, caste, or any other social factors. In reality, the sun and the moon exert the same gravitational forces and provide the same light and heat to everyone on Earth, regardless of their background. We use a person's birth star for various purposes, including selecting auspicious times for ceremonies, matching horoscopes for marriage, and providing insights into a person's character and life path etc. By the way if you give your birth details to 5 different experts in Astrology, you will get 5 different versions of your own "horror scope"

I am wondering y sadhguruji wants to insist his perceptions on others mind. I am not sure that how many become like sadhguruji by his perceptional training only by his own style of convincing others mind.
