Honestly, this book ‘Raising Warriors: Preparing Your Children For a Godly Life’ gave me the encouragement I needed to stay strong in raising my kids with Christian values, it’s comforting to know Im not alone on this journey

"They happen to come through you. They don't come from you." beautifully sums up a lot of things also the last bit "don't teach them philosophy. lead by example." is VERY IMPORTANT this video is in sync with my personal insights. From what I know: parents should correct the course of their children. But stop restricting free will to a dangerous extent. Teach your child 'the approach' and then just trust intelligence to figure out the rest. 😊 Thank you sadhguru for this video.

In my point of view children should be carefully exposed to anger, jealosy and other "unpleasant" aspects of life but a parent should never direct their own problems or negative emotions towards their children but completely bordering them off from those parts of life leaves them unprepared for what's to come in the walk of life. But still don't pass on your unprocessed issues onto your child!

100%. Seems a bit idealistic to not expose your children to all aspects of human emotion. We all make mistakes, owning and fixing them is greater for the kids to see.

I agree about being a "friend" instead of bossy and I wonder if it's healthy to shield them from certain emotions
@sorenlampe95111 ай бұрын
you dont need to wonder. many people who grow up and have mental problems you can see they had a hard childhood most of the time. 😢

It’s healthy for them to see how you navigate and process your emotions as long as the parent is processing them in a healthy way. Children help refine us so much

Cuidarse.

Very well said!Those kids that have a bossy parent haven't enjoyed being a child and felt like it's unfair!They even asked their nanny if mothers or parents are all like that."Are parents are all the same?So there is a problem with their parenting.

I like to make a comment on an issue on this platform because if you are here, that's an indicator that your mind is in the right place listening to Sadhguru. I hope to get a comment on, "These days, families are splitting up and in person social interaction is kind of fading away, other than close family members. Make a long story short, we will almost be like the Walking Dead without Social media?"
