ABOUT SADIE ROBERTSON:
Sadie Robertson, first introduced to the world as a star of A&E’s Duck Dynasty and ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, recognized she could be a positive voice to those in need of an inspiring presence in their lives. At the age of twenty-two, she’s become one of the most prominent voices of her generation. Sadie’s passion is to speak, to write, and to encourage. She is a sister and friend to more than five million followers on her various social platforms, which she sees as a direct line of communication to her peers.
Sadie’s creative and entrepreneurial spirit has helped her become a 'New York Times Best Selling Author', and launch her Live Original brand, which speaks to millions across her various platforms, including KZbin, social media, the Live Original blog, LO Fam Community, the Live Original tour, and her Whoa That’s Good podcast.
Additionally, Robertson has long poured her heart into philanthropic efforts. She has loved partnering with Roma Boots, Help One Now, World Vision, and the World Food Program over the last few years. To date, Robertson has been able to be a voice and agent of change in many countries, including Peru, Somalia, Moldova, and the Dominican Republic.
Sadie is newly married to the man of her dreams, Christian Huff, and is looking forward to continuing to learn what it means to truly live and celebrate in every moment of life.
ABOUT MAX LUCADO:
Lucado says he “writes books for people who don’t read books.’ Even so, his best-selling books have sold over 120 million copies across 54 languages worldwide.
Every trade book Max Lucado has written during the last 30 years began as a sermon series for his home church Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas. Max presses every word of his sermons through this sieve: Why would this matter on Monday morning? How can I relate the promises of God to every person, wherever they are, regardless of the burdens they carry?
Since his first book 'On the Anvil' was published in 1985, Max Lucado has been sharing the promises of God in sermons, books, articles and media interviews.
Max’s 42nd trade book is 'You Are Never Alone, Trust in the Miracle of God’s Presence and Power.'
Max Lucado was dubbed “America’s Pastor” by Christianity Today, and Reader’s Digest called him “The Best Preacher in America.” The New York Times has named Max one of the most influential leaders in social media. He has been featured on countless media outlets including USA Today, “Good Morning America,” “The Today Show,” NPR, CNN, and “Fox & Friends.”
Max was raised in Andrews, Texas, a town with a population smaller than the current membership of Oak Hills Church. Once Max became a teenager, rebellion kicked in. After one specific drunken night, Max began to wonder if there was more to life than parties and chasing girls. He believes now that if Jesus hadn’t changed his heart, alcoholism would have been in his future.
During undergraduate studies at Abilene Christian University (ACU), Max grew to realize God was bigger-and better-than any rebellion. Max left ACU with two degrees and a heart for telling others about God and his faithfulness. Max’s first ministry assignment was as the associate pastor of a small church in Miami, Florida. In that position he developed his passion for people, ministry, and writing. He began writing when he was assigned a column in the church’s weekly newsletter.
While in Florida Max married Denalyn, now his wife of more than three decades. Max and Denalyn moved to Rio de Janeiro in 1983 to help plant churches. In honor of his four decades of pastoring and publishing, Abilene Christian University has become home to the Max Lucado Collection. A curated collection of Max’s manuscripts, journals and personal correspondence are archived and displayed at ACU’s Brown Library.
Max and Denalyn live in San Antonio, Texas, and have three grown daughters, two sons-in-law, and two grandchildren.

Max Lucado is truly one of a kind! He's the only one who I've listened to who can take the seemingly tough Bibles passages that many legalistic people have used to condemn others, go deep with it in such a godly, uplifting manner, that you come out feeling encouraged and with utmost reverence for God. He preaches truth but always from a place of grace and hope, which is so able to transform hearts from the inside out and makes all the difference. Plus he does it in such a cool and collected way, no hollering, no unnecessary remarks, just grace, hope, truth and some poetry, that really does the trick!

If I had to pick one of my favorite miracles in the Bible, it would be when the Centurion came to ask Jesus to heal his master. When Jesus was going to go, the Centurion basically said..I’m in charge of many and can say a word and they will go and do what I ask..so all he wanted was Jesus to speak a word and Jesus did and he was healed. And Jesus said he’d not seen such faith. It makes me realize the power in Jesus name 🙏🏻

@@barbaraannluvjesus8844 I'm sure it's not easy to live alone or to have lived alone for all these years. I don't usually comment but, but your comment caught my eye. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by it, but I just want you to know that you are NOT alone! "succeeding at home first" in your context, could mean your immediate family, touching the lives of people around you, and living your life out to be a daily example. The apostle Paul also lived all by himself but his impact in the world today is inexpressible. I just hope you know today that God loves you, He's always with you and speaks to you, and that your purpose in this life is huge. Have a great day!

19 minutes: my 2020. I spent every single day of 2020 pouring over the Word, listening to podcasts like Unashamed, and praying sometimes hourly to the Lord. For maybe the first full year ever. 2020 was one of our best years ever as a family. We had spent many years struggling emotionally and financially, loosing loved ones to other diseases and cancers. And in 2020 we had perfect vision of good vs evil, God’s hand in every step and came out praising!

Totally awesome 👏. I can’t wait to read this new book. Max Lucado is an incredible author. I could really relate to so much of this podcast. I’m alone now since this covid virus all I see are a few of my neighbors. But I’ve found there’s a huge difference between being alone and loneliness. I haven’t minded being alone. Because I know my Lord and Savior is with me. It’s been a time for me to redeem my time in the word and podcasts such as yours Sadie. Your an amazing person and a wonderful guest tonight. Thank you Mr. Lucado and Sadie for this inspirational message. 👍😊💕🙏🏻

And again your doing the best you can. And while your gaining the weight I’ll be busy over here trying to lose my baby weight so can I raid your closet? I’ve been struggling with doubt for over half a year, even though the Lord spoke to me recently, and I just can’t stop the questions and the “what-ifs” sometimes. what was spoken in the end really hit my heart deeply. I’ve done my fair share of researching apologetics and I’ve gotten caught in researching too much and forgetting to be still. But now that I’ve been still for some time - in this time is when God spoke to me - it’s good to remind myself of those things that I really do know. Such evidence and proof, scripture with so much prophecy, miracles happening even today, and the world all around us compels me to look to Christ. Yet it seems everyone believes something different and it’s hard to understand why so many can ignore what’s right in front of them. If anyone has also struggled with doubt and/or has any tips on ways to fight it I would love your help. Doubt is one of the scariest things to go through because it makes me believe I might be all alone, but I want to focus instead on the truth that never changes.

Hi I have also struggled too. However, I think I found something that can help. For example, just the pure fact we are here withheld by this world is an example. See it throug the lenses that God allows us to be here . At just the perfect pase, not too hot or cold. We are provided with food of all kinds and doesnt this open your eyes to see that God is for us. We are here for Gods purpose and I dont think it's the other way around. Because if we just came about through the big bang and evolution and believe what science class teaches then what is the purpose we are here; to work and die.. No God is for us and hence, we are not in danger of a asteroid coming down on earth. GOD Is FOR US. The second is we will never come to comprehend to the same degree Gods thinking. Meaning, I have sometimes been like if God made us who created God. Well that answer is way beyond what we can comprehend. Theres a story in the bible of God saying to a man( who was a believer at that time who was tested really hard but God gave him so much after) something in the lines of you talk like you know how I did all these things but you cant understand how astounding it was. He later goes on saying sorry to God. Well even the flowers. Rose's, daisy's, etc. say something like God created me for the purpose of being of a good given present, for the purpose of humans and no other. When I was like in 4th grade I saw a flower and looked how beautiful it was made. I though to myself how did this flower come about. Now I know by whom and why. I hope this helps. I always wanted to share this with the world. I hope this helps you and may God bless you and your walk through this life 🙏💕💚

the hewbrew bible is super cool and it tells us that Jesus used the word for unconditional love ( agape) I guess to Peter but Peter could only say He conditionally loved Jesus, so Jesus met Peter where He was at and Jesus used another term for love and Peter can then say He does love Him but is still not fully surrendered

Question for anyone here really - does she only have Christians on her podcast? Does she ever have anyone from a different faith or walk of life to learn about their diversity? All of her podcasts sound the same to me, she’s pushing only one narrative instead of finding a way to unite us all. I’m an atheist and have been hurt so badly by Christians, I just wish people understand that it’s not for everyone. I want to keep an open mind which is why I’m here. But i wonder, do Christians do the same? Are they afraid of exploration? Or are they so sure that they hold all of the answers that they don’t branch out to learn about other cultures? The way that we view god, especially after the Protestant movement about 1000 years back, has vastly shifted in western culture and has broken away from the core tradition of universality. Maybe interview a Christian mystic or Franciscan monk ( like Fr. Richard Rohr) They offer a different perspective but they’re still Christian.
