This heartening conversation with Queen of Fun Annie F. Downs leads Sadie to share a deeply personal story about hearing God's voice and the amazing thing that happened when she obeyed. Annie and Sadie talk about how having fun can attract people to Jesus, how to start telling ourselves the truth about why we do what we do, and the key to being brave. Sadie reveals a recent epiphany about God's purpose for her, and Annie offers advice on how to let go of insecurity and be confident in what God is doing through you. Plus, Annie's story about a visit to Dairy Queen will have you thinking about your own God moments. "Chase the Fun: 100 Days to Discover Fun Right Where You Are" by Annie F. Downs is available now.

Im 34 I didn't come to Jesus until last November. From the minute I was baptized and honestly my whole life I've felt God calling me to reach people. I have no idea what that looks like, but I started going to Wednesday night single moms group at church and just volunteering at church and what I've noticed is people listen to me. They watch me. They call me and ask for advice. People are just drawn to me because of Jesus. So I had a Good dream the other night and God had me up at 4 am filming myself talking about this dream. I posted it to KZbin. I just really feel Good is calling me to help people.

great video. I've heard therapists say the same thing. 90% of the time the ACTION isn't what makes something "healthy" or "unhealthy", it's the WHY. If you love oreos and eat a few for a snack, great! If you are depressed and find yourself eating oreos, it's time to explore that.

wowowow... things I got out of this video: 1. sometimes the thing that we think is “fun” is actually just escapism - we need to ask “why do i do what i do?” - am i doing this because i want to escape? escape my home, how I’m feeling, that worry, why? - And thats when you really need to go to God- who can reveal to you what you’re running from. - tell yourself the truth why you’re doing what you’re doing. - asking yourself “why” usually pumps the brakes enough that you can actually stop doing whats bad for you! 2. something you need to ask yourself is “this time that I’m doing this- is it breeding connection or isolation? 3. healthy fun should be a part of your life! plan fun! start by planning when you’re gonna have fun and then figure out what. - ask your close ones. “ok so I’m gonna have an hour of fun on saturday, what do you want to do for fun?” ask a couple whys and you get some deep answers. things that we miss from childhood. - it doesn’t have to be big. take the pressure off! having fun could be very simple. and don’t compare your fun to other peoples fun! learn to have fun with the simple. 4. everything starts small- and thats good - sometimes the things you start end up different than what your originally intended but it could be so good! - wisdom and courage!!! you can say a lot of things boldly but not have wisdom- you need both. - even when you can’t see the outcome, every step you take you are getting stronger. 5. be confident in what God is doing in your life. He knows what he’s doing. 6. God is most concerned about our maturity. He lets us experience things that make our muscles stronger. 7. don’t doubt what God is doing! 8. its not about the outcome, its about the obedience.

Lol at "I don't doubt you (God), I doubt me!" I think that's the hardest part for me. I just started a blog because I know The Lord wants me to write, but I don't have much knowledge in the computer part but by his grace it's up, and I'm writing. Praise Jesus!

Thank you for talking about obedience when you don't get the result you expected. I obeyed God (I'm pretty sure) and I didn't get the result I expected, so I felt disillusioned. This gives me a new way to look at it.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. - 2nd Corinthians 12:9 This verse came to my mind while listening!

Hello, when I was growing up and into my adulthood I was told that life was not all about fun. I listen to this podcast and find out that there needs to be fun in life. Who is right? I survived childhood and life and have many issues with my ability to do things or have children. This podcast was nice. Thank You for sharing. also the world right now is not making life any easier to live in.

Excepting the gifts that gives us was really hard for me. I had just got done telling my best friend how God sends us angels and not to ignore them thinking they are the fallen angels. Of course I said “sure - you don’t want to pray to an angel for it might be the 30% of bad ones that answer -but I also don’t get caught up in thinking all angels are bad when we know 70% of them stay with God. “ The next morning after This conversation I got a grant that was so big I thought it was nefarious. And then I heard God tell me my own words I told my friend the day before. The accepting of gods gifts were hard for me

Remarkable person reading this.. It’s going to get better; all it is a season of opportunity to grow and be better than before. Challenging times are meant to strengthen us, not to break us. Success doesn’t define to what happened to us; it is how we choose to deal with our circumstances. The more you grow and develop as an incredible person as you are, the more things will change for the better. Forgive more (for you), be grateful for even the smallest things (we have it way better than someone else), choose love over ego, choose humility over ego (humility is strength), and finally, invest into new skills so that your future self will thank you. Our lives will change forever the more we grow. Be thankful for the challenges for we know something greater is coming. Love you always - Nathalie ✨❤️

I have been trouble forgiving some people. One reason why it’s hard because they keep attacking me. They keep mocking me. It feels helpless to stand up to them. I feel like all I can do is hate them. To be honest, I don’t like them at all. They are very discriminating towards people. I see them as almost prejudice.

If my ex husband didn’t think that he was the right guy for me at all he never ever should have married me. And if he never wanted a personal relationship with Jesus Christ at all ever again he never should have married me. and I never ever would have said yes to him and I’m so glad that we’re permanently divorced and I’m really really sorry that we got married. And It never should have happened thank you Jesus thank you for allowing permanent divorce
