15jewjew I spoke to Rukari at KI World Cup and he said they can't have blood in ultimates because of the rating. Mira was supposed to fight using her opponents blood but ESRB had a fit and made them change it to silver blood. They even tried green blood but that still didn't work. They should have just made this game rated M but still a cool ultimate. I saw packs 2 and 3 they're way better than pack 1

Super60429 Because, KI is not MK, they're not about the gore and dismemberment. Ultimates are made to kill the opponent in ways that don't seem over-the-top violent.

William Colon Your argument is flawed. Non-over-the-top violence is just fine for a game like this but I'm not seeing any violence at all here. Gore or no gore, you can't do a fatality halfway-that'd be like setting off an explosive halfway. I'll say it again, it doesn't have to be on the same level as MK but there should at least be _something_. If they're only going to _imply_ violence in the Ultimates then what's the point of even having them?

Super60429 They were originally going to have blood but ESRB, (the people who rate all these games E, E10+, T, M, etc.) won't allow it with the T rating. That's also the reason why Mira's blood attacks are silver and not red.

The Pizza Pat That doesn't answer my question; Why have the finishing moves at all if you can't actually show anything? When it comes to fatal finishers in fighting games, you either go all the way or you don't do it at all--you don't get to have it both ways. Don't get me wrong, I love the new KI game and these subpar finishers don't dampen my opinion of it in any way, it's just something I need to question because the self-censored Ultimates are simply out of place compared to everything else in the game regardless of the rating.

That was pretty sweet! I do wish there was a bit of blood when Sadira slashes her opponents though. I mean, the fighters already bleed when they are being hit during matches, so what's the big deal? At the very least it'd be nice to have a more guttural, flesh-slicing kind of a sound effect. Otherwise, the ultimate was pretty badass.
