I know that most people who respond to comments like this promoting themselves are wack but because you like lyrical hip-hop I think you'd like my channel. Check it out....or don't and just enjoy some SadistiK. Either way thanks for keeping lyrical Hip-Hop alive!
I've never heard depression described so well and eloquently. Thank you. You help me cry and let go when literally all I want to do is bottle it up and pretend like it's not there. When all the walls close in your part of the blue that prevails

Sadistik is an artists artist, he will forever be my favorite. He doesn't get the recognition that he deserves like most artists in history, I love all of your work and it has helped me out of the darkest of times. I love you Cody x keep creating masterpieces.

Sadistik is one of the best lyricists and technical writers of all time. Every time I see a new content from him, I immediately listen with eagerness, hoping that it's not dark, depressing content for once -- as I don't enjoy the tone and content of his songs. I think it's time for me to accept that, in keeping with his name, his content will always be too dark and somber for me to enjoy. I respect his talents though.
@CynicalCharmer4 жыл бұрын
I think he adds a ton of beauty and thoughtfulness to the somber themes though, and I think a semblance of acceptance and happiness can be found in quite a lot of his work. This song for example has a lot of light amongst the darker aspects.

Congrats on your success. Been listening to you since 08. I'm from Seattle so I found you about the same time I found Grieves, Common Market, Knowmads, etc. Really love Haunted Gardens. Always been drawn to the more macabre and dreary sound so to me it's almost a perfect record. Anyways, I've been reading existential horror/pessimistic type shit lately and just wanna know if any of these writers are ones you follow or enjoy as well? Thomas Ligotti (mastermind), Laird Barron, Eugene Thacker, David Benatar. Then on the philosophical side of things... EM Cioran, Arthur Schopenhauer, UG Krishnamurti.

Is it just me or are the music videos less creative than before? I've been listening to Sadistik since the balancing act and his music has always been amazing, and before his music videos were too. Think of Searching for Something Beautiful, City in Amber, Russian Roulette, they were all very well thought out videos with a lot artistry. With the release of Ultraviolet, Sadistik stepped up the production significantly with video for Orange, God complex was also a cool video. Then later on Kerosene Dreams which is probably one of my favorites by him, very disturbing and brilliant video and an amazing song to go with it. But when it comes to the music videos of this new project, besides Eden, the videos have been sub par. Eden was amazing, very good editing, loved how the beginning and ending shot is the same, very dream like, great visuals, the girl by the water holding the book by virginia woolf, it all fit the song very well. But the others have been just sadistik in some random place rapping to the camera doing some banal movements and facial expressions like the grudge girl and letting his hair blow in the wind. It's like the only real difference between one video to the next is the location and a doctors mask or a dog etc, besides that they're all the same. There's no compelling concept or anything that really stands out like his previous videos. It's a shame because the music itself is still wonderful.
