Seen many people struggle with this hub nut removal and withdrawal of the actual hub itself You have the perfect conditions here but learnt a lot about the socket and the thread saver and I would imagine a dedicated hub removal puller when things gets awkward. Its looks like you fitted the original nut dry but then another close up shot some grease or paste Very clever design with the hub nut having the 30 degrees marked within

I noticed that there is no lock for the bearing lock nut, do you use any lock paste?

Dear @rubenromulusmihoc9655, Thank you for your interest. You are right. For this type of axles, we use one-piece nuts with a right-hand thread in the right-hand direction of travel and a left-hand thread in the left-hand direction of travel. The nuts do not loosen due to the tightening torque of 150Nm + 30° or 900Nm. Does that answer your question? Best Regards Your SAF-HOLLAND Team

I agree what a load of shite, not a hint of oil used on thread or on axle beam and the whole axle moved off the stand when they tightened the hub nut, very safe. Now come to where I work and strip one on a 10 year old bus and rebuild it,😂

Easy,if its stuck and wont come off, i use a trick and takes me half an hour to 45 mins at most

What a load of bollocks brand new hub never been on the road.As said try an axle over 5yrs old 😤😤😤

the bearing can snag on the axle, when refitting,,be careful..... need to keep that retain clip for the 2 bearings intact..
