Drake is the new king of climbing in Los Angeles and he turned his sights to Mandeville Canyon in Brentwood, West LA. The Mandeville segment has been completed 160,000 times by 9,500 people and is one of the best known segments in town. Phil Gaimon's time had been undefeated for almost 3 years, but Drake came prepared. He brought out his full time trial set up that he will be competing on at the national championships in 2 weeks time. Afterwards Drake heads over to Phils house to watch the footage together and chat about the effort.
If you're after more climbing content have a look at Drake and Phil's KZbin channels.

As a runner who cruises at 170bpm while running, seeing 170bpm on a bike is basically impossible for me unless I'm all out sprinting and then it's incredibly painful. Respect to the guys who can hold that on a bike for a prolonged period.

Very normal in the motocross scene..top guys hold 188-195 for 35 mins (which is how long a moto is in the pro scene)..they do that twice in a day. I've gotten my HR up to 196 on a 1 lap sprint.
