Mapungubwe has been very kind to you, both in summer and winter - you have really captured her two different faces beautifully! That lion sighting was beyond epic 🤯🙌🏻 I’m pretty sure it’s the same pride that hung around in Mashatu just north of there a week or two before - they must have crossed the Limpopo 😍 Man, I can’t wait for your next big adventure…! 😉

Absolutely true. I miss this so much. I lived very close to the Limpopo river. For that matter, I lived right on the Crocodile River boarder with Kruger. There is nothing like being alone with nature. Everything is different if there are many people around. 🙏🙏🙏🙏. Mahalo nui Loa for the magnificent video.

Wow Byron...you are a LEGEND !!! This was so spiritual and so moving....whew We are SOOO blessed to live in our land where we can access this beauty and this magic. Ppl travel globally for one experience here in the African bush, but we experience it multiple times in a year. I have travelled to 115 countries now and everyone always ask me, where have you had the most incredible experience? I always reply...."South Africa and the bush, because you can go 20 times and have 20 different experiences. nothing fake or put on.....just spectacular beauty." I would love to do a safari trip with you one day, I am sure it would be fascinating and educational. PLS keep the incredible content coming. it is a balm to the soul. Well done and thank you. Best Regards Jed

Thanks so much for your super kind words, Jed. You’re right, we are so fortunate to have these magical places all over the country/continent. I totally understand how the bush can be your top spot out of all the places you’ve travelled, there’s nothing like it! I’m gonna be working on some trips with a twist in the new year but more info on that closer to the time… Thanks for being here 🙏🏼

What a stunning episode. I was also there in the winter, heard the lions but never found them. You are truly blessed to experience that. Mapungubwe is the place that you actually don't need to spot game. The landscapes are breathtaking enough! I had an Ele come right to my tent at Mazhou! And it looks like you spotted a potential Tusker at 25m46s ??
@WildWildJourneys4 ай бұрын
Thank you! It seems like one of those places where the lions are often heard but not seen, so I feel very lucky.. agreed about the beautiful landscapes. Ellies in camp must an incredible experience. I’m not sure about tusker but certainly a stand out individual 👌🏼

Excellent video! I do hope you continue to produce these videos however I can't help noticing that something is driving you hard from the inside that goes far beyond what is being expressed in these videos. I don't know how this will ultimately be expressed but, if forced to speculate, I cannot help feeling that something like a book (or several for that matter) or a feature-length documentary that really gives you both the width and the depth to indulge your prodigious talents will be where you ultimately head... In the meantime I count it a great privilege to be allowed to share in your journey! Salute
@WildWildJourneys4 ай бұрын
Hi Tony, thanks so much for your amazing feedback. There is indeed something much deeper going on here which I haven’t been able to dive into with these videos yet. Your thoughts are very encouraging though and I’d love to explore those formats at some point. Until then, Safari Journals will continue indefinitely… again, I really appreciate your kind words!
