It was Chitra chechi and Sujatha chechi who saved the South Indian music industry from her seniors who used to hoot and screech in each song making them unbearable! It was really painful to hear Janakiamma and Susheelamma sing for the actresses in late 80s. Shobhana mam/ Uravashi chechi- Bhagyalakshmi chechi- Chitra chechi used to be one of the most terrific combinations ever!

After Lata ji and Susheelamma, it was Chitra chechi who had a clean voice and perfect pitching.

That must be why the ace music directors’ across all the four South Indian languages prime choice was Chitra after 1985😂 Your taste for music is horrible 😂 She brought in a fresh sensation. Janakiamma and Susheelamma were good till early 80s after which their voice become hoarse and unsuitable for young heroines. Their songs in late 1980s are terrible, painful to hear!
