മന്ത്രികുമാരനല്ല മന്ത്രികുമാരി ആണ് MGR ചിത്രം നായകനായ ആദ്യ ചിത്രം ജൂപ്പിറ്റർ പിക്ചേഴ്സിൻ്റെ ( 1947) രാജകുമാരി . 1954 മലൈക്കള്ളൻ പ്രസിഡൻണ്ടിൻ്റെ വെള്ളിമെഡൽ ലഭിച്ച ആദ്യ തമിഴ്ചിത്രം. 1951 ൽ മർമ്മയോഗിക്ക് ആദ്യ A സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് ലഭിച്ചു.1973 ലെ റിക്ഷാക്കാരൻ തെന്നിന്ത്യയിൽ ആദ്യ ഭരത് അവാർഡ് നേടിക്കൊടുത്തു ഇനിയു മിനിയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റേതുണ്ട് ആദ്യ മുഴുവർണ ചിത്രം അദ്ദേഹം അഭിനയിച്ച (1956) അലി ബാബാവും നാർപതു തിരുടർകളും ആണ്. ഇനിയുമെനിയും ഉണ്ട്.
