SAFe - Capacity vs Velocity Calculations

I am still confused about the relationship between the "Story points in Agile Story Estimate" and "point in Agile PI capacity estimate". SAFe workbook, it says 1 person is 8 point for a 2-week sprint. On the other hand, to estimate stories, we also try to use relative story points, and not to map to the hours or days.

Your understanding is correct, and no confusion required WP H regarding this. SAFe mentions to start with an assumption of 8points for a 2 week Sprint, considering the time spent by team members for related Sprint events. No where the mention of mapping Story points to hours or days.
