As more and more news now reported on corruption in different industries in Singapore, is corruption becoming too rampant? I feel that we as Singaporeans, our moral values are being eroded slowly. Look at the Swatch-Omega event, many people line up because they want to scalp the watch. Actions like scalping, abusing authorities, corruption, are all actions stemming from dishonesty. Younger Generations now seems like they won't bat an eyelid at profiteering, scalping, being opportunistic. In my opinion, with these damaged moral values, they may very well grow up to be corrupt in their job.

I've a differing opinion on the SDA measuring tapes though. I mean it IS their job to make sure it's >1m, so obviously if the distance is less than 1m, it's their job to make sure the tables are pushed further apart. And judging by that video it was significantly less than 1m, not a "99.9cm" kind of situation. Ultimately it's on the restaurant to ensure that this 1m is abided by, and if they don't want their customers to be "traumatised", then stick to the damn rule. The rule has been implemented for a reason.
