Omg I LOVE Toxic so much! I’ve had it on repeat since it came out! I like that it’s more palatable than their debut and if people didn’t like that, they’ll probably like this. It really showcases their vocals and I like how it strays from the typical yg/girl crush sound. BUT on the flip side, I like that they are promoting Body too, so they can still lean more towards what they debuted with. Plus those type of songs tend to resonate more with people than ballad-type songs

The chorus is really reminiscent of the feeling of drowning in my opinion. Like the instrumentals are so minimum like when you are under water you barely hear anything. I think it resembles the feeling of feeling hopeless especially with the lyrics being about a toxic relationship I just love how it makes me feel.
